Studded footwear- love or duds?

How do you feel about studs on footwear? I'm seeing a lot of it.

I personally think they make footwear look cheap and prefer other types of hardware.

Most of it is over-done.. Too much. A wee bit is OK. I could handle one pair of shoes with just a bit of studs but I would not want more than one pair.

Re: Studded footwear- love or duds?

No thanks. I'm a practical girl, and I would be forever worried about one of them falling off (perfectionist, so that would RUIN the shoe for me), and I just don't like the look. I don't like grommets or other bits or bites or sequins or sparkly things or dangly things on my clothing, either.

I have some boots that are sparsely studded and I like them. I like the belts, buckles and fringes more and I was obsessed about finding the right pair of cuffed boots with the cuff over the heel.

I love the look! As a matter of fact, does anyone own the Onex Showgirl shoe with bling? I saw a woman wearing them with leggings and they looked awesome! I wear narrow shoes and from my research it looks like they run a little narrow. Just wondering if anyone has them. TIA!

No thanks, pass for me!

I do however like the red Frye clogs, they are a bit high for me but I like them.

The studs on those are a bit more tastefully done, IMO.

Some of the shoes posted are cute. If something is heavily embellished, though, I pass.
