I have been a Birkenstock fan since the 60s this and Uggs, Frye, Sorrel, clogs, short boots and loafers frequent my closet.  I do think strappy shoes are sassy and I have a couple, but in my case comfort and classic win out. 

The strappy sandals look great on Goldie and Kate.

IMHO, Totally disfigured and unrecognizable!  What a shame!  Goldie USED to be so pretty.

I've always loved the look on others but I could never pull them off.  Besides, I could never wear them with a heel anyway (I'm a klutz).

I like strappy sandals if the straps aren't too thin.  Thin straps dig into the feet.
