Stingy Sale Price Hall of Fame: Let's post the WORST discounts here at the Q.

With summer sales kicking into full swing I was doing some shopping here and found some discounts that are so puny, they're actually funny.

I'll start:

Rachel Zoe Cape

original: 94.50

sale price: 83.80

discount: 11%

Sometimes greart sale prices don't mean a thing to me. If I didn't really want something at its original price, I don't want it when it goes on sale. I know that's different from how many shop, but that's me.

I don't necessarily buy what I really want when its full price, but I watch for sale prices only on what I want and I don't care about the percentages. When the price gets to what I think I should or could pay, then I buy.

As an example - that Rachael Zoe cape - they could reduce it to 10% of its original price and every dollar I'd spend on it would be wasted money for me. Other people just have to decide when or if they want it and at what price. Never is my answer.

The other side of that coin is that too many times when I do see what I like, I find that if I wait for a sale whether here or elsewhere, my size or the color I want is gone. That bothers me more than stingy sales -- and there's nothing to be done about it except to buy when I see it at full price. I did that a few months back and I love it! Also, I don't so much need to follow fashion and my closet right now has enough other stuff that I just won't follow any of the summer sales. So there - QVC or Macys or whoever!
