The Stein Mart closest to me closed in January 2019. I didn't shop there frequently, but liked to stop in with a friend to see what they had. Most of the time I found a couple of items, some of which are still in my wardrobe. They had some of the most beautiful special occasion gowns and dresses at very reasonable prices.

Not happy to hear this. I love my Stein Mart! I could usually find nice blazers, trousers, tops, and cardigans there. Very sad to see another store close. With Dress Barn already closed my choices for in store shopping are dwindling. 😥

I enjoy shopping Steinmart but when the store reopened in my area after the shutdown, you could not try anything on. I just left the store, I am an hour away and was not going to take a chance on something fitting or not and then have to return the item. Not worth it to me.

I read that Amazon is looking into purchasing a lot of stores that have closed down and turning them into fulfillment centers. I think they're more focused on stores in malls like Sears, JCP etc.

I have a Steinmart just 2 miles from my house.I have spend tons of $ there over the years both online and in the store. I always liked their clothes.Great mens department. .My main complaint was that they kept their clearance racks forever with the same stuff.I told one of the clerks that they needed to burn them! They used to have an outlet store nearby years ago that had lines out the door.Never knew why they closed that?

Then 2 years ago,I bought some clothes on a great online sale.Then I found out some 3rd party hackers installed malware on the coupn codes and caused a huge security breach.They got almost all my info except for ss #. What a mess! They sent me a 10% off coupon for my trouble! So I say good riddance!!! With apologies to those that like them.
