What I would like to know is what I'm suppose to do with my 2 "statement necklaces" that both lost one of the bigger weird shaped stones (these seem to be made very cheap). No way to replace or fix them (and yes I looked at Michaels etc). I guess you should buy 2 so that when you lose a stone on one you can replace it with one out of the other. I'm done with them.

Could you get in touch with the place that sold them to you?

As for OP, if you like it, wear it.  Thts what I do.

I didn't realize women were still all that obsessed with what someone says is "in" or "out".     Personally, I think it's more important to wear what is flattering.  JMO

Re: Statement Necklaces - still in style?

You can get gemstones for the price of some statement necklaces. I just picked up this CP one from her site with 23% off the regular price.

Product Details

• Sterling silver ribbed and multi-gemstone beaded necklace
• Garnet, rose quartz and rhodonite gemstone beads
• Measures 16" plus 3" long with a lobster claw clasp
• Designed and crafted in America with gemstones from around the world

I just ordered the Joan Rivers Mixed Blossoms necklace (J327730), this afternoon, after thinking about it overnight.  I'm on waitlist for the white.

So while I'm not even sure if I'll get one of these, I'm so attracted to the enamel work on this one.  This would be my first statement necklace, so I'm not even sure if it would work for me.  I'm petite and don't care for real heavy jewelry.  This one, I'm hoping, is a little smaller.

Beautiful necklace.  I'm sure it will look terrific on you!

Thank you, ladies, for responding.  I have always enjoyed bold necklaces and bracelets but do not have any necklaces that have that updated look.  Lately, I have seen so many pretty ones and thought I would buy a couple.

Re: Statement Necklaces - still in style?

This thread makes me really miss Nolan Miller. Such lovely quality, and such service! If something ever fell off any of my pieces all I had to do was send it over, and it was repaired/replaced for me at no charge. I can't say his necklaces were flamboyant enough to be declared "statement", but I should dust them off and try them that way.
