I just made a great discovery and from reading reviews on faux leather jackets, I'm sure some more people are having the same issues with faux leathers.
I got a Marc Bouwer faux leather jacket from Ebay. I liked it but everytime it rubbed against itself, it sounded like crunchy cellophane. Anyone else remember how that sounded? A google search suggested rubbing a shoe care sponge (mine is called an oiled leather sponge) over the "leather." I tried it and the jacket is totally squeak-free. Hope it works for others also.
