I generally wasn't a fan of her styles, and her color selection just wasn't my taste.

BUT recently I saw a button front shirt on sale ... just an ordinary button front shirt.

I only bought two of the blouses (tan and red) that were on the lunchtime specials.

Candace Cameron Bure Regular Coastal Linen Blend Boyfriend Shi - A548972

I'm 5'5" and long torso - size medium.  They fit just fine.  They didn't shrink in the wash.  AND ... they were only $17 eacg - on a free shipping day.

I thought QVC announced Laurie Felt's  line leaving  didn't they??  Wasn't she closing down her entire line of fashion ?

@Goodie2shoes.  QVC  never announced Laurie Felt's departure.  It was Laurie herself who insisted on announcing it and thanking her customers.  Good for her!

It appears that "celebrity" lines don't last very long.  There have been a number of them over the years.  If  QVC decides to discontinue the line, making an announcement about that would be kind  of awkward.

One reason celebrity lines don't last long is that they aren't supposed to ... just a couple years, at best.

The norm is a line is developed, is received fairly well, and then sells though.  No new season is planned, so there's nothing else to sell.  It ends.

That is the standard business model for celebrity lines.

Otherwise, they'd have to stop what they're doing and devote full time to the fashion line .... Joan Rivers had to do that because she was SO successful.  (I doubt she would have preferred to continue doing stand up comedy to make a buck).

I could be wrong, but I doubt most actresses would actually want to get into the clothing business long term.

Well, there's a reason she left the Hallmark channel.  Maybe that's why she left the Q also.

Do you know the reason why because I don't?

I do know but cannot say as it is forbidden on here. It was widely known awhile ago.

What would you have done differently had you gotten an anouncement?

I agree, it would be markedly unusual for QVC to announce discontinuing a product line.  Gosh, if any of them deserved a fine farewell it would've been someone like Bob Mackie, or Lee Sands... they not only offered quality products, they were part of the true fabric and foundation of QVC's growth and success.
To add, as I mentioned in another thread, unless QVC and/or the vendor publicly states reasons for a change or a parting of ways, we do not know the circumstances -- for all we know, it's an amicable and logical business decision rather than contentious or nefarious.
