For you, annabellethecat, and the posters here!

Have a sweet Easter! Bunnies to all! ~LTT

PS... about the clothing... I hate to think we live in a "throw away" society, but perhaps that's true about the younger people... they want new and them toss?

This made my day! LOVE bunnies!{#emotions_dlg.wub}

Annabelle, I agree with you about the quality etc. I purchased 2 Linea jackets last year, and thats all!

I hope you and your daughter are feeling better. I have been concerned about you!

I feel the same way when I lose weight I am always sad to ""say goodbye"" to some of my favorite things.

Re: So Sad While Cleaning Out Closets and Putting Away Winter Clothes!

Thanks emmie. Her surgery is scheduled for mid May and I haven't done anything yet about mine.

She comes first. I dread the plane ride with my bad back. I told my other daughter to make the reservations for several days before (so we can power shop) and days after (so I can be a Mom and make sure she doesn't go back to work too quickly).

Her Dr is concerned because she gets horse (sp) so easily. They know it's not cancer, it's just close to the vocal cords. They might have to take the entire thyroid.

She's my baby girl. I took 5 years deciding to have her and it was one of the best decisions of my life. She looks over me more than the other two. They are busy with their families.

You, Miss emmie need to take care of yourself. Back pain is terrible. No one should have to live with such terrible pain.

They are making what people buy, I guess. Instead of having more designers, they haul out 'Gary'. Now I'm sure he is a lovely man, but who did he study design under?

How did he become a 'designer' for an entire huge line of clothes like Denim and Co?

Do you think some "name" designer created Dialogue or the other Q brands? (I think Gary actually worked on Sport Savvy in the past, for example -- he's been at QVC for almost eight years.) As others have stated in previous threads, there are a lot of working designers who create all of the lines for department stores, etc. -- you can be a designer without being LDO or Bob Mackie. Gary's LinkedIn summary says, "Creative designer and merchandiser with over 20 years of solid experience in all phases of the design process, employee management, product development, trend analysis and presentation." He has a degree in fashion and merchandising and has studied at FIT. Most lines, D&Co included, have a design "philosophy" or look for which they strive. I just don't understand the hostility toward Gary, or the feeling among some that he has somehow changed D&Co so that it isn't what it used to be. He's not new, and IMO the line has simply evolved with time, incorporating new trends in a D&Co way and abandoning some of the older, dated looks (denim jumpers, embroidery on almost everything, etc.).

Re: So Sad While Cleaning Out Closets and Putting Away Winter Clothes!

No, I personally don't think a name designer designed Sport Savy or Dialogue. I don't feel ill about Gary. I just think they could have found someone that people might feel like has more of an idea of what people want.

Really, do you think Gary designs those clothes? I don't. I'm talking about someone who stands in front of the camera and represents the line.

Linda Davies (in my opinion) does a good job with Liz Claiborne. She stands up there, tries on some of the clothes, talks about the lines, etc.

I guess I'm not explaining myself very well. I don't know Gary, I just don't care to watch him sell Denim and Co. that's what I'm trying to say. I'm saying that someone else could probably talk better about why a shirt is this or that, etc.

It's been a very long time since I've had someone talk for me. If you don't understand what I meant, then that's my fault. However, I will leave it at that.

I will stand by my remark that I think most of what QVC shows is Denim and Company and Susan Graver.

They used to have a much wider variation. I know why they now only sell Denim and Co and Susan Graver. Most of the Denim and Co clothes are more leisure oriented.

I would like to see more of a variation like QVC used to sell. I doubt that is going to happen. My guess (based on the calls that gets through) most of the people who buy a lot of Denim and Co (I'm talking about the ladies who say, "I own all of this and that in all colors", etc are probably somewhere like me.

Nothing wrong with that. I like myself. I do like to wear nice jackets that look a bit dressy when I go to the Drs or out to dinner. I wear Denim and Co when I am out with friends.

The other day I wore Joan Rivers' jacket A214129 in the pink and black with a simple Denim and Co shirt (pink) under it.

However, my absolute favorite jacket to wear is always Louis' silk jacket A107319 (I think he called it 'windowpane') I have that jacket in all but the yellow color.

I sent someone here on these boards several of them in a size 2X because they didn't fit. I have lost even more weight, so I don't know if any of them fit anymore. I still have some that are a size 1X.

Please ladies ask him to bring that design back. It is amazing with everything!!

I don't purchase much anymore. I still shop on-line but at different stores (hitting the sales). I used to purchase a lot of Linea and Dialogue. Still purchase some Linea and some IM but selectively. Nothing like I used to. The quality has really diminished.

Do you have to have thyroid surgery too?? Please keep me updated! I don't have back pain, I have neuropathy in my feet and legs from diabetes. Seems we all have something!{#emotions_dlg.sad}
