Went into Kohls today for a picture frame and there was a cute smocked bodice dress right near the door. I've been seeing them everywhere online.

Blast from the past. Even smocked tube tops! are back.

 Back in the day I had quite a few smocked tube tops & dresses.Everything old is most definitely new again!!

@NicksmomESQ I remember a white smocked top I had with a print of purple flowers. It had straps with little ruffles on them. I thought I was IT in that top. I've always been flat chested so that was never an issue. My Mom let me wear it, I was young enough that she still had a say in that.

from a few decades ago... well at least some of it anyhow.

I remember tube tops and tube top sundresses well. Had enough of them for sure.

The bustline of the tankini top I wore today is was smocked, it really stayed in place which was nice since I wore it with out the straps

Smocked tops look great but they outline everything.  Also, someone will say "I CAN" get into a (smaller size) when the dress is stretched as far as it will go.
