At Smiley, our goal is to spread positivity through smiles, to make the world a happier, kinder place. [smiley dot com]

Throughout the last five decades, all our collaborations, partnerships and experiences have laddered up to this ethos and as we look ahead to the next fifty years and beyond, we’re constantly finding ways to show people how to smile back at the world - we do this by continuing to encourage people to 'Take the Time to Smile’ - because what's more inspiring and universal than a smile?

Re: Smiley World Partners with Designers

So I have a question because I don't follow trends.
Ok, so I know that the yellow smile came into fashion in the 70's, is that right? So is this a new take on an old trend? Cause it looks like a "now" fashion trend. I wouldn't wear it but that's because that's just me. So is it less about inspiring smiles or more about an old fashion trend making a comeback?
Because none of this stuff makes me smile. But I'm not young anymore. I guess I'm old enough to have been given the wisdom to know how much Americans have to smile about without wearing it.
And before someone jumps down my throat, I am not an articulate writer. I may not be expressing myself like I mean to. So maybe in simple terms I'm asking without knowing how to - is this trend a social expression or a fashion expression?
🤷 Just wondering. I don't follow any social media or read any internet written word except occasionally post here.

Thank you for letting us know that smiley faces do not make YOU smile.

These are clothes for people who want to look sloppy in their attire.  I stopped wearing "pictures" on my clothes years and years ago. No, these clothes do not make me smile. Just another gimmick to try to make a sale.

Most fashion is not for everyone. Of course.

However, if I'm on a bus or standing in line somewhere and see someone wearing a smiley face, it does make me smile. Even a smiley button.

Adore seeing "unlikely" folks wearing smiley. Reminds us of our flawed social perceptions.

@Janey2   Thank you for sharing your thoughts that the people who wear these smiley clothes WANT to look sloppy.

@1Professor   I am all in.  Smiley World and Logo make me smile!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm torn because I don't usually wear jean jackets, but that one is so adorable.  I'm thinking the light jeans, mesh top, and either the jacket or the hoodie.  So looking forward to this tonite, I LOVE smiley faces!!!!!!

@1Professor
Don't take it personally. As you know, fashion trends aren't for everyone. You are not being attacked for what you like to wear. Everyone has an opinion. I asked a legitimate ❓ and thought you might be able to answer it for me.

Re: Smiley World Partners with Designers

I probably stated that incorrectly..The clothes as shown look kind of sloppy to me. Maybe ok if you are running errands. Fine if you like that look.  I tend not to care what others wear, this is just too gimmicky to me. Whatever floats your boat. @1Professor
