I was wondering if anyone else has experienced slow delivery by USPS.

I placed an order on 8/7, said it shipped on 8/9, with an EDD of 8/14.  I keep checking the status, and it says that my post office received the electronic information for the shipment on 8/10.  I called them this morning to check, and they said that they have no record of the tracking number.  I rarely ever have issues with UPS, but mail deliveries are very slow.

haven't we all? it can really test your patience. i once had a package shipped from a city 3 hours away, and it took 3 days to get here. i should be used to snail mail by now, but it still bugs me.

I find the tracking to not be accurate.

Also, why I don't know, the tracking will be re-labeled.

I was expecting a package some time last year.   The tracking said it was lost.

The package showed up with a new label about 2 days late.

Go figure.

Don't even get me started.    My street used to be a rural route.   The post office was closed and we were all merged into a nearby city post office.

I'm lucky if I get my mail at 7pm

I got one USPS delivery in 3 days last week and another in 2, so I have no issues with timing, but if I did,  I'd love to know how to get anyone at either of the post offices I use (snowbird writing here) because neither ever answers the phone -  and I was actrually given the numbers I call by the local post offices!  Obviously - there are problems.

Not onlu are the deliveries slower, the mailman complains almost every time he has to deliver a package.  We have a mailbox on the street, but he has to deliver the package to the door.  Sometimes he has crammed a package into the mailbox that it takes minutes to get it out because he has reshaped a box.

UPS is so much better/

We have been gone and had our mail held until today 8/14.  But an attempted delivery message was left (8/12) that our packages were taken back to the post office.  Darn them anyway.  Our PO is 10 miles 1 way.

@millieshops...............When I have had a problem with mail delivery I email the postmaster generals office in Washington DC.  I get quick action.  Our PO never answers their phone either.

When delivered only by UPS I would get my packages quite quickly.  Now that they are being initially shipped by UPS and then transferred to the P.O. for delivery, it takes much longer.

I prefer the USPS delivery.  For me it is quicker.  We have have a good post office.  Always answer the phone when I have had to call.  Cheerfully take my returns and give me a receipt.  UPS is good in our area also.  Had something unsual today.  When I looked at tracking it was by UPS to USPS and would have been delivered by the post office today.  When I checked my tracking at work to see if it was being delivered, tracking had changed to will be delivered by UPS as we are in the area today.  I received by packages by UPS at 7:30 P.M.  Poor UPS guy was working late to make the unscheduled deliveries.  Wonder why the change was made?  If the post office had delivered I would have received it around 11 a.m.  Not that it matters, just was an unusual circumstance.  I have no issues with QVC shipping.  Get my items pretty quickly most of the time.
