Sizing on the Linea T-Shirt Dress

I've already ordered this dress A254472 in several colors, but having second thoughts about the sizing. I usually wear a medium and the Linea tunic (that's similar to this dress) in that size fits perfectly. When I looked at the "click" measurements for this dress, since no waist & hip measurements are given, if I go by the chest measurements, I'd be a small; the sweep measurement puts me in a medium. I was thinking of sizing up to a large for the added length & hip room, but given the fabric, that might be too big? I didn't notice any recommendation from Louis about sizing on his blog. How are you figuring out sizing? I appreciate any help.

I'm in the same boat. I ordered all mine in Medium, but worried about my hips. So, maybe time to go back on the lo-carb diet for me and get those hips in line!

Sounds like a plan, Sheesh--I'm with you!! And, I'll hang these dresses to dry. I actually threw my tunic in the dryer (by mistake actually) and it came out fitting just fine.

I asked Louis for sizing advice on the ""Ask Louis"" section of his site. Fingers crossed he'll answer soon.

Oh thank you, yarn!! Best to get it from Louis directly, and if he answers quickly, we can change our orders in time before sizes sell out.

I accidentally put my Black Ponte Drawstring skirt in the dryer yesterday---and even though it was on Permanent Press setting, the dryer got very, very hot. Looks like the skirt may have shrunk, but I haven't tried it on yet. I live in those skirts, too. Whadda ya gonna do, mistakes happen. Just another reason for me to slim down a few pounds.

Re: Sizing on the Linea T-Shirt Dress

I ordered up a size. I have not tried this fabric with Louis before, but I have found with other lines that when there is this % of spandex, I am usually happier if I size up. I don't like things too fitted...not to say that I want it baggy, either, but this will be a hot weather casual dress for me. Possibly even a bathing suit cover up at times...I'm erring on the side of a bit big for my purposes.

Yep. Been there, done that, with a few Linea pieces, including a WK sweater. I got lucky with the tunic which had no shrinkage. Hope your skirt still fits, sheesh!

I just did the same, so I'm sure we'll have a reply before long. This dress is such a winner, it would be a disaster to have tons of them sent back because of sizing issues.

Re: Sizing on the Linea T-Shirt Dress

I went up a size due to the pockets. I hate when pockets gape open. That makes clothes look too small and ill-fitting. I ordered two, a black and an olive. Now if the slim leg pebble pants would just come in, I would be all set!
