Sizing on TSV & other pull on jeans

Why does the sizing on these and other jeans go from Reg 16 to a Petite 18?

I've pondered that issue too. Finally figured out the P18 means Plus 18.  Certainly is confusing!!!

P18 does not mean petite 18.  It means plus Plus 18.
