Re: Showing high pumps or heels with pants

I wear ankle pants with both flats and heels.......just depends on my top and where I'm going.

Santori, thanks for the picture; perfect. Harpa, there are so many, I pick a new one each year. This is one that I need to remind myself of.

Re: Showing high pumps or heels with pants

What cracks me up is when the models wear 3-4 inch heels w/ Lori Goldsteins stretch ankle pant (they are really a legging)- I own a pair & wear them w/ sneakers! They are much more of an athletic/yoga pant.

Re: Showing high pumps or heels with pants

In most cases the shoes do not go well with the style and/or look of the pants.

Add to that the fact that the full length pants are often too short for the tall models & then they have 4+ inch heels on... .

I think ankle pants with flats are super cute in spring and summer (a la Audrey Hepburn). I am not a fan of high heels with shorter pants.

Re: Showing high pumps or heels with pants

To me ankle pants are generally casual and go better with flats or sandals, unless it is in a dressy material like silk (no not butter knit, liquid knit or any of those poly fabrics), then a pump might make sense.

Re: Showing high pumps or heels with pants

for me, i wear heels or wedges to dress up ankle pants and flats dress them down.
