Oh, I looked sooooo much better in shoulder pads.  I also didn't like the HUGE ones, but a little shoulder pad made me look so much better.  I just found some that I think are like KK's on amazon.  If you put "Kathleen Kirkwood shoulder pads" in the search, it comes up with several that are very similar.

@this is my nic

I had a box full of shoulder pads from fabric stores, I remember driving from one to another looking for something similar to Kathleen Kirkwood and nothing.

Her pad were foam, indentation for your bra straps and they just didn't move.  They were definitely not big and boxy and if I'm not mistaken I believe when she first introduced them, there were big heavy one's and thin one's, I only have the thin one's.

What is wrong with Ari Melber’s suit?

The left side needs shoulder pads.

I think it's just the way his arms/hands are.  Notice the one tucked under the other needs the lift.

I'm sure if we sat like that, we could duplicate the same optical illusion.

I wear shoulder pads under many of my tops.  They really make many garments look a lot better, especially if you have narrow, sloping shoulders.  Makes it easier to keep shoulder bags in place.  They narrow the waist and hips.

@roxxy1.  Your example is ridiculously extreme.

Re: Shoulder pads anyone?

I wore my Kathleen Kirkwood shoulder pads until they literally fell apart; have not found anything that comes close to replacing them. Mine were not thick or big but made such a huge difference in how my tops fit.  I would love QVC to sell them again.

@Kachina624 @roxxy1  Pretty sure I had at least two or three suits with shoulders that large in the 1980's. Wore long, 100% wool (lined) capes over them in the winter because I hated the feeling of a coat over those shoulders! Dramatic look with heels which made most women appear tall and slender (with those huge shoulders).

Oh, goodness, to think that I loved that look especially the bigger ones.  I owned a Calvin Klein black sweater that was double breasted with white flat buttons and shoulder pads to beat the band!
