Shopaholics One Day at a Time (Thurs. May 27th)

I didn't see a thread and if there is one out there for today let me know.  I ended up ordering that tank top and the red keds.  I haven't had red keds since I was a toddler - I have the picture to prove it, lol.

We didn't get all of the rain that was originally forecasted at the beginning of the week and a cool front moved in last night.  When I say cool, I mean upper 40's at night.  The furnace is back on Woman Very Happy  I think it supposed to be pretty cool during the day tomorrow.  I'll probably cut the grass on Saturday.  Boy it will be 2 weeks since I did the backyard and it's starting to look like a jungle out there.

Good Afternoon/Evening and thanks for getting us started, Bernie.  Hope you like your tank top and red Keds.  For some reason, red shoes are very appealing to me at the moment.  And, I don't own any.

DD said they had heavy rain yesterday evening, and are expecting rain the entire weekend.  So, she has changed the planned cookout on the grill to a pizza party plus lots of sides and desserts.  I thought of Glenda since she said she found rhubarb for the first time in ages, and plans to make a strawberry rhubarb pie.

I'm back from making my hospice deliveries -- not many today.  And, I did my grocery shopping in the morning.  My summer splurge was for some lemonade.

It is 95 degrees here, and the predicted low for tonight is in the lower 60's.  No need for heat, but AC comes in handy.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.

Hugs,

Linda

I picked up a bottle of Lemonade by Simply this morning when I went grocery shopping @LindaLatte   I have a taste for it but I'll wait until my sister and I recognize Memorial Day.

Funny, I bought the same type, Bernie.  Hope you and your sister enjoy it.

Bird Mama, we got about an inch of rain yesterday and it rained off & on today while we  did our grocery shopping. I bet your grass looks like a jungle.  Nothing wrong with that.

Linda L, strawberry/rhubarb pie is a favorite here too as well as the muffins.  The pizza party sounds nice too.

Yesterday, we got the carpet in the liv room and little hallway shampooed.  The new carpet cleaner is very nice.  We only had 3 cabinets to move which aren't too heavy.  Since we did a thorough Spring cleaning, we didn't have to move my loveseat & I could go right around my dh's couch.  No walls.  We are a bit achy today, but nothing that the hot tub can't fix.  The rest of the house will be a room or two at a time.

We were planning to meet friends tomorrow night for a carry out fish fry in a park, but it's supposed to be rainy and cold so it will be a drive thru carry out dinner from Culver's.  We were going to visit the cemeteries today too, but since it was raining we will either go tomorrow or Saturday .  It's going to be in the 70's by Saturday & 80's next week.

Hugs to all of you.

Glenda
