Good Morning :-)
For now, the sun is shining, there is a breeze and the humidity is low. I watched some of AM Style this morning and engaged in the weekly chat for a little while.
Rain is forecasted for some of us this afternoon - we just don't know who, lol. Since Mother Nature is about to get spotty, I decided to move my rear and get the yard work going.
I touched up all of the leafy shrubby plants in front and cut the grass by 10:30 - I think that's a record. Just had some breakfast (Carnation high protein shake and a Kashi bar) and am heading out to the backyard.
My evergreen shrubs along the back fence need a good shaping.
I should beat the rain.

I'm heading out for lunch and to buy granddaughter a birthday gift. Will not buy myself anything. Fingers crossed. It is a nice day today, rain all day yesterday. Enjoying seeing the sun today Was very good and did not watch any of AM Syle today. Did look at the Recently aired items and was not even tempted. Yah for me. Still sticking with my goal for June - no more purchases.

Good Morning and thanks for getting us started, Bernie. Good for you doing all that yard work so early in the day. Hope your weather continues to be okay.
Nice work, Nancy. Good that you resisted AM Style. Due to the time zone difference (currently three hours earlier than Q time), I don't usually watch much of AM Style. But, I love Leah, and she is an excellent salesperson. So, it is probably best for me not to watch the show so that I'm not as tempted to order. Have fun buying a gift for your granddaughter. How many grands do you have? I have four -- three boys and a girl.
DH was doing well yesterday, and I was able to feed him both lunch and dinner. My friend and I had a nice lunch, but she had problems using her new debit card. Hopefully, she was able to straighten things out at the bank, and I had enough cash to pay for both of us. Unless I am paying for several people (at least more than one), I try to pay cash for my meals out. Then again, I don't go to expensive places.
It was pretty nice on my walk this morning -- quite warm, but I walked a little longer than normal. I have started the laundry and my weekly financial review. At least phase one of the review -- looking up all my accounts for later.
I hope to go to the thrift store this morning before I visit DH. I am looking for a couple of pieces of clothing (some capris and a button front "camp" shirt. Not that I am usually lucky enough to find what I want, but it is worth a try since the prices are excellent.
I have a question for those of you who have purchased both Vionic and Alegria sandals -- does one seem to be more comfortable than the other? I am looking for a very comfortable pair of sandals, and find the reviews for Alegria seem better (in general) than Vionic. But, the prices are also higher.
Need to get some more done before heading out today.
Welcome back twinny and wave to all of our posters and readers.
Have a nice day everyone!
Hugs,
Linda

Bernie--Thank you for starting the thread. You are doing a great job manicuring the shrubbery.
Kathy--Congrats upon your shopping restraint. Do you have a reward established for meeting your June goal? It doesn't have to be shopping-related.
Linda--Your answer to the question of which is better: Vionics or Alegria, the answer might depend upon the style. I do have both and for me, I tend to wear the Vionics far more often.
meallen--Thanks for the cute graphic. I am, indeed, relaxing today. I had plans to do things but the arthritis pain has kicked in especially with my legs so I am moving slowly and carefully

Bird Mama, it is sunny & in the upper 60's today & tomorrow with maybe a shower tomorrow. It was so nice in the hot tub this afternoon. You have certainly been busy with your yard work.
Kathy, enjoy your lunch out & have fun buying your dgd a birthday present. How old is she? Our eldest dgs is 16, next dgs is 14 & our dgd is 12. She was so happy last week. She has grown 4" since her physical last year & is now 4' 11'. Another 1 1/2" & she will be as tall as I am.
Linda L, it is nice to be back home, but we look forward to heading out again in less than 2 weeks. My motto is: I need to head out as much possible while I still can, because I remember when I was home bound. I will be celebrating my 16 year anniversary of having symptoms of CIDP next month. I am glad that your DH was doing better yesterday. I did my walk this morning & it was a nice crisp day. 80's by Thursday so summer will return real soon.
Jean, I am having a lazy afternoon. I finished doing the rest of our vacation laundry this morning. It is so nice & breezy. The windows are all wide open. Too windy to wash windows, so that job will hopefully get done next week.
Right now I feel like doing NOTHING! Dinner out last night & concert on the square were nice.
Next week will be busy with taking the Subaru to Madison on Tuesday for it's 30,000 miles checkup. Cleaning house on Wednesday & Thursday & getting our ds & ddil on Saturday afternoon. It will be a 4 day whirl wind weekend, but fun for sure.
Monday will be a lazy day for me without any guilt.
Hugs to all of you.
