Good Morning Shopping Friends,
CIJ is upon us once again, lol. I put a couple of Jim Shore items on my wishlist last night. I want that new Bob Mackie blouse so I probably won't be buying more holiday items that only see the light of day for maybe 60 days a year.
I'm getting ready to head out front and cut the grass. I thought it was supposed to be cooler with clear skies today. There are some gray clouds hanging around out there so I guess the sooner I get that mower going, the better for me in the long run.
I hope everyone is doing well.

Bernie--Thank you for starting the thread. How much do I like CIJ? It is a good time to take a weekend trip, but since I am tired, I've been watching HSN and streaming a movie from Amazon.
Shopping-wise, I did get my Lug bag and it is a keeper. I also have some of my Prime Day purchases at the Post Office but they can stay there until I have the motivation to venture out.
I had the colonoscopy yesterday. Got home at 2 pm after having a small lunch of soup and salad. I was full with just the salad but the combo tasted so good. I was a little sleepy so I went to bed to read, and fell asleep and woke up at 5pm, thanks to Midnight. That propofol really works; no wonder Michael Jackson liked it.
A good report; the results were negative. I go back Wednesday for the bladder scope but no prep necessary for it.

Good Morning/Afternoon, and thanks for getting us started, Bernie. No CIJ purchases here, and I think the Q is overdoing it to say the least. Hope this won't be programming every weekend until Christmas. Good luck with the mowing.
We had a tiny amount of rain yesterday evening, but lots of storm warning's, including a tornado warning. I think there was a tiny tornado north of there, but no damage, just a bunch of dust. Today it was partly cloudy on my walk, and it felt a bit humid. Still, not too hot, thank goodness. It is supposed reach the high 90's or low 100's today, and we have a chance of storms every day for at least the next week.
So happy you had positive results from your test, Jean. Hope the same happens with the next test. Glad the Lug bag is a keeper.
DH was doing pretty well yesterday, and the disruptive lady was slightly less so. But, another resident (male) created quite a bit of trouble.
No big plans for the weekend, which is normal for me. I have started the laundry, and going over the accounts so I can do my weekly financial review later. Starting to think a bit more about my trip planned for September (NM, CO, etc.) I will probably do some background reading on the area.
Waves to all of our posters and readers, and have a good day!
Hugs,
Linda

I finished the front yard and then trimmed some vine thing that grew over my privacy fence from the neighbor next door. I also pruned back some branches of the walnut tree that had been smacking me in the head when I cut grass in the past. Once that tree started nutting this season, those bad boys were getting painful - well won't have to worry about that anymore.
@KonaKat I am so happy to read the favorable news from the colonoscopy. You are right about the propofol. As a die hard X-Files fan for the entire time that series ran, the propofol experience is the closest thing I can imagine to 'missing time'. You just black out - period and then viola, you're awake. I snap out of it quickly, zero drowsiness.

@meallen616 Is your weather any better there or are you still suffering with humidity?

Jean so happy your results were negative for any problems.😍
Enjoy your mowing, Bernie..hot and humid here.

Bernie--That propofol is great stuff. I just remember the person saying, "This might burn some" as they began to inject it. The next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery. You are so right about "missing time" At least one is relieved of the indignity of knowing what is transpiring with the colonoscopy. I'm still somewhat inflated with air. I don't have your energy today, however.
meallen--Another great graphic. Enjoy your weekend.
Linda--Glad DH was doing better and that you enjoyed your walk. Reading up on the area you plan to visit will help you plan the trip for a better experience.
Barbara--Thank you for your ongoing concern and insight. Enjoy!
I couldn't take the chatter, etc. of some of those women hosts and their guests on HSN so I took a break with reading to finish a book and am now watching Netflix.

Bird Mama, it was a beautiful 70° day yesterday. Today it will be 80°, but 70's again tomorrow & Monday. Then hot on Tuesday for at least a week is more. I don't have any Jim Shore things, but I saw lots of his things at a store out East last year.
Meallen, cute graphic.
Jean, I am glad that you got favorable results yesterday. Enjoy your new !ug bag.
Linda L, your upcoming trip sounds like fun. Yes, caregivers earn their money.
Sydsgma, we will be getting hot humid weather by Tuesday, but it is beautiful again today. I hope that you can get a better working drug. Not fun when you can't enjoy life without pain.
I got up early & hung a large load of whites outside. I wear mostly white bottoms & pastel tops in the summertime. Dark colors make me too hot. Then I mopeded downtown for my walk. I didn't buy anything at the farmer's market because I m trying to get rid of a few things before we leave again next Friday.
My BF from HS & her DH were married 50 years ago today & it was horribly hot. Today is just beautiful.
We hot tubbed after lunch & it was nice. Wednesday & Thursday were too hot.
It is so nice to have the windows open again. I am having a lazy afternoon.
Hugs to all of you.
