Shopaholics One Day at a Time Monday

Will make this quick. We had temps drop 40 degrees in minutes. Severe weather in the area. Know some folks are expecting snow!.

Be safe everyone.

Hugs to Jean--hope your procedure goes well. Have a specialist apt. in the city tomorrow. Glad it wasn't today--hoping weather will be okay tomorrow.

Re: Shopaholics One Day at a Time Monday

Good Morning/Afternoon! Sounds like a bad day for driving LindaR. Glad your appointment isn't until tomorrow and hope you do okay today. What a wild change in temperatures!

We are having a lovely, warm day (should make it into the low to mid 80's). Not a cloud in the sky and very low humidity. DH and I took our walk this morning since it is pretty hot in the afternoons.

Nothing exciting going on here -- I am taking some things to the storage room, and I got over my craving for white capris. I have plenty of capris/pedal purshers, and no need for new ones. I do plan to pick up a few groceries and do some cleaning.

Like you, I certainly hope Jean's procedure goes okay.

Waves to Jean, Kathleen, Arlene, twinny, Susan, Marijane, Gayle, Rosa, Sonya, Nancy, Karen, Val, Kathy, and all of our posters and readers.

I was disappointed in "Mad Men" last night -- part of it was the time (starting at 10:00 p.m. is late for me), but also I had forgotten the story line and couldn't take the commercials. I had been watching it on Netflix before, and I didn't realize how many ads there were. Guess it makes sense given the subject matter. LOL

Have a good day everyone!

Hugs,

Linda

Re: Shopaholics One Day at a Time Monday

Hi girls! I just wrote a reply, but Cherish is all over me, covering me with kisses, and I lost it all. She's a sweet girl, but drives me nuts at times - the kisses I love, but she's doing the "biscuits" things as well, and it hurts because she does it with her claws extended. (sigh) OK, now I'm getting my eyelids nipped and she's "kissing" my mouth...sure hope she wasn't just licking her butt before she climbed on top of me! {#emotions_dlg.crying}

It's overcast out with rain on and off forecast for the rest of the day. It's not too cool, but is supposed to get downright chilly tomorrow. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown} I have no plans to go anywhere apart from hunting for Entenmann's hot cross buns; they're really, really good, and since they're only available for a week or two I'd like to get a couple of boxes to freeze. No walk in the park for the girls, but they're happy to at least ride in the car, and I'll get them Frosties at Wendy's to compensate.

Hope you're OK, LindaR - with a large drop in temperature like that there's a serious front moving through.

Don't know that I've ever heard of "Mad Men," LindaL - what's it about?

I decided I'm going to donate my Indigo Moon jacket; seeing as I've had it for years and worn it twice, well....there's a missionary who will love it and give it lots of use - it's too pretty to just hang in my closet. I guess I should take a serious look at the others as well I may not get to travel much these days, but my clothes are going all over the world! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Anyone planning to stay up and watch the blood moon tonight? I don't know if this particular one has prophetic meaning or not - can't be dogmatic about things like that as it would be considered divination - but there's a lot of buzz about it, it's even the Drudge headline right now.

Hope all goes well for you today, Jean.

Have a blessed day, everyone!

Re: Shopaholics One Day at a Time Monday

Hello friends! Left the house sweating everytime I move all weekend and this morning, walked out the door and cooled off immediately. I took lunch to run to the next town over and look at an RV - what a waste of time. It smelled bad, had the same ugly brown trim and was just kind of awful. I'm like the bride on Say Yes to the Dress that finds one I LOVE but just can't quit looking at others. lol

I can barely post, my DH died on 4-4-2014. He had the kidney transplant and then his heart failed. He had a horrible reaction to the anti rejection medication. I am so sad and overwhelmed and in need of prayers. Thanks for your understanding.

Rosa: Oh may the Lord be with you. I am so sorry to hear this news. You joined us as you were on this journey. None of us expected this outcome.

Peace and comfort to you and your son and his wife---and your other family.

Rosa, there are no words sufficient to convey how I feel right now. I think all of us joined you in looking forward to your DH's transplant. I can't imagine how excited you were when the news came that a kidney was available but then to have those hopes and dreams destroyed in a horrible twist of an outcome. Our prayers are with you. It has been said that God will not give you more than you can handle, but right now you must feel devastated and possibly asking "Why?" Treasure the memories of the times you had together. Pray that you will have the strength to face the challenges ahead. You are not alone!
