Good Afternoon/Evening!  Another hot day here -- 102 degrees at the moment.  I feel sorry for people in Europe and the U.K. who are having such hot temperatures and don't have AC.  Hope the weather is okay where you live.

Just heard from Bev that her last scan was good, and she doesn't need to go back to the doctor for three months.  Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes.

It was okay on my walk this morning -- not too hot.  I had a Walmart pick-up with only one substitution (fine), and did an exercise DVD.  Somehow going through my linens got me started on going through my clothes, and I found several items for the donation pile.  Patting myself on the back a little.

No TSV for me, and I haven't seen any other items that called my name.  Hope any of you who ordered/purchased here or elsewhere enjoy your items.

How has your Monday been?  Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.  Please post if you have a chance.

Linda L, that was quite a nasty storm in your area. Glad you didn't have any damage.  We got a nice steady all day Friday, but it was fine when we met Christopher for dinner.  That's great news about Bev.  I am going to be decluttering our guest bathroom

It's the first hot 90° day here with a lot more coming our way.  I hope the meteorologist is wrong.

I had my infusion this morning and it went well.  Then we went on the hunt for the clinic I will be going to next month for a shoulder X-Ray & consultation.  It's a very nice looking facility & easy to get to.  If there's no road construction going on.

We had a good shopping spree.  I was looking for two pillows for our guest bedroom.  They were on sale for $11.54 from $29.99 each.  They feel good to me.  Then we went to JCP to replace the towels in our guest bathroom.  We bought 3 wash cloths,  hand towels and bath towels.  We were very satisfied as we saved $72.09.

We have another couple from our Evergreener's Club coming at the end of July for one night.  They are from IA & going to a wedding in Lake Geneva.

My only side effect from my infusion is fatigue which I have had for a few days.  A good night😴 🌙 will be so good as I get my first PT session tomorrow morning.  My dh is getting his afternoon nap.

 No big plans for the rest of the week.   I am going to be lazy in the kitchen this week.  

Gas was $3.87 in Madison so my dh enjoyed putting some in the gas tank.   It's $4.29 in town.

We had very heavy storms here in Westchester County, New York today.  Heat waves begin here tomorrow through the week.  With the humidity, it will feel like over 100 degrees.  I hope & pray that this is the end of it and that August is cooler.

Linda L, congrats on winning the trivia game & the spaghetti meal sounded awesome.  As soon as I got in the house a friend called to see if I could have lunch with her and another friend next Wednesday.  I said make it next month as we both have a dental appt in the late morning. 

Last night we went to concert in the park at a nearby town.  It's a 4 piece band.  Accordion, drummer, trumpet and guitar.  There were 491 people in a small city park as they are good and very popular.  I actually took accordion lessons with the  accordion player back in the 60's.   The leader said they were in AZ for the whole month of March this year and are almost filled up for next March.   Now I need to find out where they were at.

Dinner tonight was a SF Cream Soda float.  Lunch was a drive thru at KFC.  We found a shady spot in the parking lot right next to the Subaru to eat it.

Stellabystarlight, I am with you. Heat is my enemy and I always look forward to Fall.  We have had a few hot days, but this one might last for the rest of the month.

Hi Linda @LindaLatte  thanks for sharing the good news about Bev.  The 2003 heatwave in Europe killed so many people (estimated 70,000) and I pray that loss of life this time is significantly less.  Good for you on finding some clothing for the donation pile.

Hi Glenda @twinny70  I was pleased to see that the weatherman was right last night when he swore up and down we were going to get rain.  There wasn't enought to leave puddles however I'm grateful for any rain at this point.  

We're expecting hot weather all week and since lots of my weather comes from your direction in the great state of Wisconson, I'm sorry to tell you that your meteorologist was probably accurate in the forecast.

JCP was having a great home sale over the past week.  I'm glad you found pillows and linens that make you happy.

Hi @stellabystarlight  I'm in SE Michigan and it was in the 90's and humid, with more to come this week.  Yuck!

My heart goes out to all of the outdoor workers.  We have lots of road construction projects going near me and I watched the sidewalk crew working outside today.  99% of the men working on the sidewalks wear big hats; smart men.  Some of the younger guys are worried about their appearance and don't wear hats; they'll learn the hard way.

I was hoping the crew would pour the concrete today.  They were doing to finishing touches to sawing and framing so maybe tomorrow.

Bird Mama, I am pretty sure that we will get a lot more hot days as our meteorologist is correct most of the time.  Yuck🤔🤔 is the word for me too.  My dh has an Aunt in Italy and an Uncle, cousins and 2nd cousins in Peterborough, England.  My prayers are going out to all of them.  

Since our town is gearing up for the huge Cheese Days event in September, so there is a LOT of road work going on. Our part of town went through this a few years ago, so we aren't bothered by it until we are out & about on the mopeds.  Which is almost every day🤔🤔🤔.
