Good morning/afternoon (depending on the time zone). My goodness did the heat and humidity roll in overnight. A cold front is dropping in later so it looks like stormy weather is headed my way. I thought about making a Target run and figured I might as well do it tomorrow - I can wait. I skipped grocery shopping last week because I didn't need anything. With windy storms in the forecast I'm not about to fill my fridge today with the risk of losing power later.
I don't know how I missed it on the previous 2 ATT statements - my internet (the only thing I have with ATT) went up $3 effective with the bill due in September. They just raised it in early 2021. What cracks me up is that they brag about the benefits available to me thanks to these increases. All of the benefits include a clause about having a compatible WIFI.
ATT told me a couple of years ago that they were no longer updating the software for my modem/router/WIFI thing. When I called them and said, send me a new one and I'll connect it I was told I needed a tech. I said, no no no, I'm not having a problem - you chose to no longer update it and as my ISP you need to send me a new one. I bought the last one and will rent the new one, just send it to me in the mail.
Att wouldn't budge and neither would I. If a tech comes to the house it will be because I went with somebody else and kicked ATT to the curb. It's funny, I was a died in the wool Ma Bell supporter. Kicked em to the curb with the cell first. They aggravated me some more and I disconnected the home hardline phone. My internet with them is on the edge at this point.

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Bernie. Sorry about your weather. It is hot (high of 97 degrees predicted) and fairly humid here -- not pleasant.
I guess many of us have the problem of prices rising for services we need/want. My feeling is that a lot of other customers dropped their ridiculously expensive cable TV, so they are trying to make it up with higher and higher internet prices. I have found that loyalty gets me no where when it comes to these types of providers.
Since my trip to visit DD and family is coming up next week, I have been busy deciding what clothing and shoes to take. Not an easy decision, but I think I am making a little progress.
Still have not received my SG blazer, but it is supposedly at the local Post Office waiting for acceptance. If the fit is off, it will just be returned since the next size up is completely out-of-stock.
Bev is going in for some surgery this afternoon (tumor scraping and chemo insertion). She continues to have a positive attitude, which is important. But, I am quite concerned that tumors came back so quickly after she was told all was clear in July. Thanks for your good thoughts and prayers.

Hi Everyone!
It's in the 90's, humid nnd thunderstorms on the way. My knees are agreeing with the rain forecast so I'm not watering the grass/veggies.
The new box cutter arrived today and the spare blades. WOO-HOO!. The box cutter is nice.. The blades are the incorrect size that they stated on air. I have them packaged already for a refund. The correct size is out of stock. I wish they would give the correct info if they want to sell these items together. That's my rant for today.
Laundry today and maybe tomorrow. I have a stack of misc. paperwork to sort thru so I'm not sure which day I'll tackle that. I wanted to make another trip to get the remainder of the sale items at the market by Wednesdy. Not sure what day that will be. This heat has zapped my energy.
Some "idiot" was setting off some "boom" or shooting a large shot gun last night multiple times. I couldn't see any animal or person running in the woods but some of these homes have balconies. It was close because the neighbor below us came out like we did to see who it was. There always has to be "one" .UGG!!
Birdmama---Don't even get me started about utility companies. They lost me when the line repairman (phone compay) told me that he refused to climb the pole because of squirrels. Somehow he viewed that as my problem to solve for him to restore service. Seriously.....I informed him that I didn't place the pole there so that would be his emplyer. He left and I called the head office. They had another man out by dinner time. I swear.....you can't make this stuff up.
