Re: Shopaholics One Day at a Time - Friday June 1st

Sorry it took me so long to get back here.  DH takes a while to eat lunch, and I wanted to take advantage of him being awake and smiling, so no tablet use.  Then I headed to the store to pick up some produce, etc.  May certainly did fly by -- yikes.

The lunch outing yesterday was okay, but not great.  The food was reasonably priced, but not special.  And, the ladies were not particularly welcoming.  Hope it is nicer next month.

I was thrilled that DH was wide awake and smiling yesterday (and again today).  The hospice nurse said all is well.  He still isn't eating all of his food, but he is doing okay.  I asked the "night" lady today, and she said he usually sleeps quite well.

On the negative side, I found out that the manager of his facility suddenly resigned.  I really, really liked him, so I'm very disappointed.  I don't have any information on why he resigned, but I have noticed he has looked increasingly stressed and worn out lately.  And, I don't think there is any way for me to send him a card or anything since he has an extremely common name.  I will check with one of the caregivers who may know a bit more than the ones I spoke to today.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.

Hugs,

Linda

Linda--I am sorry that the facility manager you liked has suddenly resigned. Perhaps he had been considering it which partly led to his stressed look. Good news on DH smiling. I know that makes you feel better.
