Good morning ladies, hope all is well.
Linda - Sounds like your are keeping busy with your volunteering, and I know Gigi is appreciating every walk she goes on with you. You are very kind to take her for her walks. Keep up the good work decluttering, I need to get back on the band wagon doing that. I have good intentions, and start, but I don't finish and the piles just grow again.
Fressa - I love the fact the turkeys feel safe around your house. We have deer who love to eat my flowers. I thought I had bought flowers that were deer resistance, but I think they do love them. Not sure what I am going to do, but I won't do anything until next year.
Twinny - Hope your DH has success with his treatment. It seems DH's mother is adjusting to her new surroundings. Good luck to Emily, she will do well.
Not a lot happening around here, we pick sweet corn yesterday so my hands are a little sore today. We are waiting for our new front door to come in, I am getting tired of waiting 6 months for everything. We also are waiting for a new couch, they said it will be another 4 weeks. I know, first world problems. I try to not be so impatient.
Well need to get moving, going out for breakfast. Hope eveyone has a great morning.

Palady---Thanks for getting us started today. I agree with you on the decluttering piles. I always like to have enough of a "load" before I call the charity. I really need to focus on the cedar closet and get all those clothes donated. I started on that and then discovered a few items that I could still wear. Not sure if I need thm as they are all my "office" clothes. I'm waiting for that energy boost where I just grab a bag and handle it.
So far that line of approach has work well in the work room. Crossing my fingers on that approach.
I have found that deer eat even the deer resistent flowers when food is scarce or the herd is large. The rabbits are more of a problem than the deer lately. Too bad none of them eat weeds. We have groundhogs that are size of a small dog. So far, they are staying near the woods so I hope that remains.

Fressa - I have a large wooded area behind me, food is not a problem. I think they do it just to irritate me.

Good Evening and thanks for getting us started, Susan. Hope your breakfast was good. Sorry the deer are eating the deer-resistant plants. I am not the best at decluttering, but baby steps are better than nothing. Sorry you have to wait for the door, couch, etc. I am not that good at patiently waiting.
Hi Fressa, bunnies are a problem here plus javelina, etc. But, I haven't seen any deer. Despite being retired for many years, I have trouble donating clothes that fit well, etc.
I saw on FB that Barbara is going back to Arizona this week. It isn't quite as hot as it was, but definitely not cool. Hope the heat doesn't bother her too much.
Church was good, but the pastor said that a lightening strike had taken out ("fried") the internet connection earlier in the week and they were trying to get re-connected. This afternoon I went to the gym -- managed to get on all of "my" machines which was good.
Waves to Susan, Fressa, Glenda, Bernie, and all of our posters and readers. Sleep well everyone.
Hugs,
Linda

LindaLatte--Thanks for the update on Barbara.
That's a shame about the church internet connection. Some of those strikes can be nasty to recover the service. We took one of those nasty hits a few years ago and it took a few days to get back on a connection. We had a few pieces of equipment that fried. That's the hubby's field so we were fortunate that he was able to resolve everything.
Glad you were able to use all of "your" machines. It's always a good feeling when you can complete a routine or task. I'm not one that can let something be half done.
I don't think I would fair well with jaelinas. The gators and snakes did me in when I lived in GA. At least the large wildlife out at the range ran away if you were on a 4-wheeler. Of course, it was a different story if you were at the cabin. We had a bull moose who was fascinated with the screen door. I guess I will always be a city girl. LOL

Hi Everyone!
The hubby filled the cars up this afternoon. We're at $3.89/gallon. UGH!!! What is everyone else paying>

It was 3.71 the last time I checked. Not good, but I heard it is much higher in some areas of the country.

Good Afternoon/Evening! Just saw that Bernie is okay, just dealing with some family drama.
I walked Gigi this morning, and there was a problem with "poop collection". Not to go into it, but I used five bags, and there was still a mess. I think the new bags will be better/stronger. Hopefully, Gigi is okay and just has a little stomach problem.
After breakfast, I visited two of my hospice patients, and there was a lot happening. One was on oxygen, and not doing nearly as well as last week. Still a sweet and nice lady and very happy with her hand cream "treatment". I also gave her roommate some hand cream which she was able to spread herself.
My other patient who is bed bound had her foot up on a pillow since she had some significant swelling. She is on a diuretic, and was very happy with the tumbler that I brought her since it can keep the water cold for quite a while or hot beverages warm once she likes them. The nurse came, and I had a chance to talk with her later about an issue. Very interesting.
I did some filing at the hospice office before coming home for lunch.
My DGD has surgery tomorrow (gynecological). Hopefully, that will help her with her issues.
Waves to Fressa, Glenda, Bernie, Susan, and all of our posters and readers. Sleep well.
Hugs,
Linda

Susan,
I hope that you soon get your new front door and couch. Emily seems to be happy so I am relieved that she is doing so well. 6 years is a long time!
Linda L, good wishes for your dd or dgd's surgery tomorrow. I am tired and can't remember which one is having the surgery.
Fressa, our gas is $3.54, but it was $3.60 two days ago.
Thanks for the updates on Jean and Bird Mama.
We got 1 1/2" of rain overnight. It's going to be in the 50's tonight and 70's for the next few days. It's going to be in the 90's by the weekend. Ugh!!!
I am so excited to get a few days of beach time. The water might be pretty cold, but I will be paddling my feet in my new swimsuit. Lol.
I have gotten so many tomatoes that I had to cook & freeze two quarts this afternoon after having BLT'S for supper & some fabulous corn on the cob from an area farm girl.
My dental appt this morning went good. I got a small silver filling and was in & out in 10 minutes. Then we played euchre and I had awful cards.
Next Monday I get labs/Rheumatologist/GP appts. & I am sure I will be getting a cortisone shot in my right knee. OUCH is all I can say as they have all been painful.
Hugs to all of you.
Glenda

LindaLatte---Thanks for the update on Bernie.
Poor Gigi---those tummy problems can sometimes happen in an instant with dogs. Glad she is on the mend.
Sounds like you had a very full day with your hospice patients. They are lucky to have you.
I will keep your DGD in my prayers with her surgery.
