Re: Shopaholics One Day At A Time: Sun. 8/13

twinny70--Gas prices are a little higher around here than most states but the sudden jump was an eye-opener. Our car insurance that was increasing betwen 3-5$ every other month jumped by $11 this month. What a crock! I remember our agent mentioning that our rate was "grandfathered" in and not the current rate. It's annoying when they make up their own rules. UGH!!

Re: Shopaholics One Day At A Time: Sun. 8/13

Good Evening!  My DGD had to be at the surgery center at 7:00 a.m., but didn't have surgery until after 10:00 a.m.  The doctor found a cyst (removed) and some endometriosis (he removed what he could).  The doctor is planning to start her on some medication at the end of the month.  At least she is home and taking pain medication.  Thanks for all of your prayers and good wishes.

The senior lunch program went well, but there were not many people there.  Also made it to the gym -- a bit more crowded, but I managed to use all "my" machines.

Waves to Fressa, Glenda, Bernie, Susan, and all of our posters and readers.

Sleep well everyone.

Hugs,

Linda

LindaLatte--Glad to hear that your DGD's surgery went well when it finally happened. It's a shame she had such a delay. Hopefully, the follow up medication will bring her relief. I'll keep her in my thoughts.

@LindaLatte  I may have been dealing with some cr@p over the past 2 weeks however I did not forget to pray for your daughter.  Endometriosis runs in my family and it can be a challenge.  I hope that your beloved daughter finds some relief.

Thanks, Bernie.  It is my granddaughter who has the endrometriosis problem.  (Her Mom, my DD, has had it as well, but my DGD was the one who had surgery recently).  Really appreciate your prayers.

Sorry you have been dealing with those family issues.  No fun.

I saw your post about your Sunbeam iron dying, and thought you have been much gentler with your iron than me.  Anyway, years ago I found a Black and Decker iron that has been very good (sturdy compared to many, but not too heavy).  I had to replace it several years back when I managed to drop it, but....  I tried to look it up so I could refer you to the model only to find that it has been discontinued.  Really hope I don't break this one and you find another good one.  No chance that it will be made in the U.S.A., I am afraid.
