Good moring ladies, hope all is well.
Woke up to a cold morning today, but it is one day closer to Spring. Have to go to the store to return a couple things today, just want them out of the house. I do have some cleaning to do, I have been lazy on that front lately.
Linda - Congrats to your daughter on her weight loss. How did she like Noom? I have heard about it but did not know anyone who tried it. Was it fairly easy to use?
Twinny - Glad to hear your labs were good.
Jean - Like you not much happening here.
Dh and I were talking yesterday, we don't go out to eat often, but we were commenting on how we would love to go into a resturaunt and sit down to a dinner. Not much else to write at this moment. Have a good morning everyone.

Good Morning, I was glued to the hearings this week
I'm debating whether or not I want to order this cotton jacket from JCP.
It's 100% cotton and I'm concerned I'll put it on, drive somewhere and then look like I slept in it when I get out of the car. JCP describes it as twill and I don't know if that makes a difference. I suppose that one way to know would be to order it and if it's a stinker - return it to the store.

Susan--Thank you for starting the thread. We are under black ice warnings with the temp to rise some before the next storm moves in. I do eat out in a restaurant about once a month, and the one I choose is extremely good at following all the social distancing regs.
Bernie--I like that jacket and have had twill. I haven't had much wrinkling except at elbow. Are there reviews at JCP that address that topic. You have a great eye for items that work for you.
I've been up since 5am which is my usual time to get up. I watched the news and then switched to AM Style. Sorry Kim or Tinker Bell, but waffle weave reminds me of thermal wear. It was cute, otherwise. I do like the IM curved hem knit cardigan. I saw eBates-Rakuten rebate is 5% today.
I don't need the TSV. I'm too focused upon clearing out three rooms so the new furniture can be moved in easily as quarters are tight in this small house with small rooms.
I did order the Bissell steamer. Off to do my afternoon reading.

Susan, it's not as cold as I expected it to be, but it will be very cold tomorrow. We will be hunkering in & we have a lot of goodies to eat. I am very happy about my appt yesterday. Good luck with your returns. I have been telling my DH that I cannot wait to go on vacation and have a nice sit down dinner again. Our last sit down meal was March 7th.
Jean, black ice does scare me. I liked the IM cardigan.
Bird Mama, we have been watching the hearing too. My DH had dreams on Wed. & Thurs. nights that he was a juror. Unbelievable now. Are you getting any of our dusting s of snow or bigger ones that we got here?s
It's a cloudy day, but mild. We got 3" of snow overnight, so my DH will be using his new toy again soon. It was the best purchase that we have made in a long time.
I got QVC emails on Wed and Thurs showing me the DB ivory reversible quilted/faux fur jacket that I bought brand new with tags on it last year for $5.00 because it was missing the hood. There sale price is $71 from $159. I wore it 5 times last winter, but I am waiting to wear it this winter. I don't want to wear it to the grocery store, but I might wear it to the gym next time we go.
I made my granola cereal this morning and it's so good. I haven't made it for a long time because I couldn't chew it after my smiley ☺☺☺ teeth were extracted. My partial fits perfect and my dentist was great with me as he knows about my fear of going to the dentist.
We each had a chocolate covered strawberry last night, one tonight and the last one after lunch tomorrow. Staying home doesn't keep us from eating a few fun things now and then.
No big plans for the weekend.
Hugs to all of you.
Glenda

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Susan. It is cool here this morning, but it is supposed to make it up to 70 degrees again today. Starting tomorrow, it is supposed to be cooler with highs in the upper 50's or 60's until next Friday. Still not bad for February. DD just texted me that it is sleeting in her area of Maryland.
I think DD likes Noom, but I have not discussed it with her, Susan. She has had weight issues much of her adult life, and is very sensitive about it. I really hope that she sticks with it this time, and I think it is a good sign that she seems so determined to do so.
I think Glenda said something about her buying new clothes, and I think she is more focused on paying off the mortgage at this point. She said she doesn't go out much these days (even walking due to the cold, ice, etc.) But, she will need new things for spring.
It would be nice to eat out at a restaurant with my friends, but I don't see that happening for at least several months.
I really like that jacket, Bernie. I am a wrinkle-hating person, but I have not found wrinkles to be a big problem with twill clothing.
Hope you like your new steamer, Jean. I saw it presented and was interested, but decided that I really didn't have room to store it. Not having a basement, etc. means that my vacuum, steamer, etc. are taking up a bunch of room in my small "coat" closet.
Glad you tests results were good, Glenda. Also you and your husband are able to stay home and enjoy special treats for Valentine's Day. Great that you were enjoying your granola again.
I didn't watch much of AM Style, but I saw the IM items and thought they were nice. But, I resisted. However, I just saw the Vera Bradley masks that Jean and I purchased on sale, and I may go ahead and order. Apparently, some really didn't like them, but I find they are good for someone like me who wears both hearing aids and glasses (plus sunglasses much of the time). The opening for the filter is small, but I managed to get one in it.
Nothing exciting here. I plan to do my laundry, weekly financial review, exercise, etc.
Waves to all of our posters and readers. Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda

Hi Everyone!
It's cold and cloudy. We're expecting a big snow storm system to start Sunday thru next week. Monday 7" is predicted. My bf and I decided that would be a good day to have a long phone conversation to get up to date on each other's lives, do laundry and wait for tahe snow to stop. LOL I love winter but not the ice.
Palady1--I'm behind in my cleaning these last two weeks. I started with the vacuuming today and will continue on Tuesday room by room. If we really are in a snow storm then it will be a good time to clean.
Birdmama--You have the best luck with your fashion finds. I really like the jacket and from my experience if twill is mixed in with cotton it's doesn't wrinkle as much. Nice pick.
KomKat--Pace yourself with "clearing a path" for your furniture deliveries. It sure feels like it's moving day prep when you have furniture or flooring changes. It will be so nice when it's done. That's what I keep saying to myself over and over again.
Twinny70--Do you mind if I ask what kind of Granola cereal you made or purchased? I've been searching for one that I can use as a snack or mix with my yogurt. I have to have one that is as close to all natural without any fruits, etc. because of my allergies. Thanks in advance.
FYI: Lennox is having a sale if anyone is interested. I had purchased a set of the Lennox dishes from QVC and love them. I donated most of the other dishes but I was missing the little plates for the snacks, etc. QVC had the best price so I'm glad I picked the simple pattern.
I only caught a bit of AM Style this morning. I'll probably watch it in late night like the garden and Valerie's programs. It sure keeps me on budget when I do. ha ha! I did see a new version of the Anybody cozy knit joggers that are still calling my name. These pants are truly very comfy and easy to wash. I'm still tempted but hopefully will see them in the repeat show tonight.
Have a good afternoon/evening.

Linda--You have a good point about the steamer; it will have to be stored somewhere. Since I have limited space also, I decided to cancel and re-think the whole idea.
Fressa--You have a good way to spend the day of 7inches of snow. Ours is supposed to be another ice storm of various amounts depending upon location. Power outages are expected in some areas again.
I just returned from town and the Post Office. I hadn't picked up the mail for a week and decided I had better do it before another storm arrives.

Fressa, Set the oven at 320°. I lost my original recipe, but I put 6 cups of one minute oatmeal on a baking sheet and put 6 Tbs. of oil on it and bake it for 20 minutes. Stirring after 10 minutes.
Put it into a big bowl and on the baking sheet put a pkg of sliced almonds, pkg of sunflower seeds and a cup of chopped peanuts. Bake for 10 minutes and turn after 5 minutes.
Then mix it with the oats.
Then I add 6 Tbs of pancake syrup, 6 tsp of cinnamon and 6 tsp of nutmeg m. Mix well and put on a baking sheet lined with a piece of parchment paper and bake in the oven for 20 minutes and stirring after 10 minutes.
After its out of the oven and cool, I add raisins & mini chocolate chips.
