Good morning ladies, hope all is well.
No TSV for me today, I have too much makeup as it is and am trying to use it up or throw it out. I really just don't wear the makeup I used to, the older I get the less makeup the better.
I have a dentist appt. today for a cleaning, so hopefully they don't find anything wrong. Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning! Thanks for getting us started Susan, and good luck at the dentist. After I post this, I'm off to my volunteer job. Late this afternoon I have a "class" about WWI.
DH isn't feeling all that great today, but he can stay in and rest. We are having cooler weather here, and he feels it -- "only" in the 50's for highs. Yesterday we even had a tiny bit of much needed rain. I'm sure most of you would gladly trade your weather for ours.
Today is DGD's 14th birthday -- wow!
Hope all of our posters and readers have a good day.
Hugs,
Linda

Hello, cold and rainy here.
I love make up but I use Estee Lauder only which keeps me from trying all the TSV make up here, which is very tempting. I used to buy impulsively at the drug store and never had the right colors or products. EL gives samples and you can return it if it is not right. I always try to buy when a free gift is involved. Although EL is pricey I think in the long run I spend less.
Not too much going on, we have had a lot of glass claims. When the weather is bad lots of trucks are working on the road and gravels can be thrown so lots of cracked windshields.
A local boutique is having there $12 sale tommorow, guess where I will be when the doors open
They do this every season, I have been able to snag some great deals.

Susan--thank you for starting the thread. I do hope all goes well at the dentist appointment.
Linda--Enjoy your volunteer job and then your class. Hope DH feels better soon.
Rosa--I've not tried Estee Lauder. I've ad windshield breakage from gravel thrown by trucks.
Like the rest, I have no interest in the TSV. I use Cover Girl foundation which works for me but then use Laura Geller for the rest. I was to work today but the icy roads prevented the busses from running. Now, we have rain and flood warnings. This is very old.
Midnight got me up at 5am and I stayed up until 8am but then went back to bed as there was no reason to be up and I was tired for some reason. He awakened me at Noon just in time to see the TSV presentation.
I called the drugstore to see if the cardiologist had called in my new heart meds refill prescription. I need to pick that up at the next good opportunity, especially since another storm of unknown status is to arrive around Sunday. I am having the Progresso Light soup for lunch.

Kona, knowing the area you live in I bet you have had a broken windshield from a truck. DS had 2 while at Glenville. I am certain that you are tired of being "stuck", I admire your strong shopping restraint. I feel certain I would have ordered at least one thing yesterday when a lot of fashion was on QVC.

Rosa--I got mine twice on Rt. 5 between Grantsville and Elizabeth. I was snow-poking along at the limit but a truck passed me in an area which had a lot of gravel from road work.
Marijane--Good luck with that nasty weather forecast. Have a good outing and enjoy it before the bad weather hits.
I've been tempted to get the QF Dream Jeannes while on easy pay but it is something I can buy and pay all at once later in the year. I don't need them now or any clothes right now.
I'm amazed at my restraint also but this is the first time in all my years of subbing that we have been out of school for snow that much. Last January, we were out two days and they were days I was not scheduled to work. Next year the law has taken away the legal starting and ending dates for students so this is the last year for the current law. We have used up all available non-instructional days for make up of instructional days left.
I think it also helps to know that I have a possible HVAC replacement coming up this year. I also need some storage building foundation touch up done, and I want the flooring replaced in the bathroom. $$$$$

Hi girls!
I'm trying to get myself moving here; it's an overcast day with rain predicted for this afternoon and into tonight, so I'm a bit achy. At least the temps are milder, in the 40s-50s, and are supposed to remain so for the rest of the week.
Jean, I'm fortunate in that my kitties know that they'll get fed whenever I happen to get up, but there's always kibble available for them to snack on. I've been keeping the dogs inside at night since it got cold and Angel does pace back and forth when he needs to go out in the morning. His nails clicking on the wood floor wake me, but I'm able to let the dogs out and fall right back asleep.
I got a bunch of shopping done yesterday. Had lunch at Long John Silver, which I allow myself only once every month or two - not the healthiest, but sure tastes good!
I looked at the vacuum cleaners in Walmart; they didn't have the one I've been looking at on Amazon and I don't like to buy without having access to reviews. I did see one on HSN that looks good and has good reviews from pet owners, and not only would I not have to pay tax but it's free shipping, plus I have a 15% off coupon, and there's 5% back from Mr. Rebates - and also Flex Pay. I really thought the last vacuum I bought (which wasn't cheap) would last at least five years, but stuff just isn't made to last anymore, is it?
Rosa, I love Estee Lauder as well - been using it for years. I've tried other brands but always come back, and I've often gotten good deals on it on eBay. I usually wear very little makeup anyway, unless I'm going someplace special - just a dusting of powder, blush, and lipstick, maybe some mascara. The last blush I bought was from Mary Kay, and it was $15, and not only is it tiny, it did NOT include a case or a brush! I do like it, but after you add the "essentials" the price is ridiculous. Your $12 sale sounds great - hope you find some good deals. ![]()
Amazon is having a sale on Kindles this week; the one I want is $30 off. Apart from needing a replacement for mine that died, a new vacuum cleaner (a need, not a want), and a printer, there's nothing else I plan to buy in the next few months - I have more clothing than I can use, as well as everything else.
Well, I just saw the time - I have to get my cupcakes frosted and get ready for work. Have a blessed day, everyone!

Arlene--You did well on the shopping yesterday. I assume you are going with the Fire HDX. An "animal" designated vacuum is a must for animal lovers. I have a Eureka one as well as a Dyson one. The Eureka one is old and is used in one area; the Dyson is used in the main area.
I'm getting ready to run to the drugstore and pick up my heart meds. The co-pay on those plus one other drug is $45 a month as they do not have generic equivalents and are "one of a kind" until the period elapses until a generic becomes available. The other five drugs are generic so they are only $5 each co-pay or $25 a month. That is around $70 a month or $840 a year after deductible is met; that would buy a fashion, etc. but I have to take care of my health. I'm fortunate to have insurance as the out of pocket is around $450 a month for each of those heart meds.
