Shopaholics - ODAT Sunday 2/21

Good afternoon ladies, hope all is well.

We are having a beautiful weekend here, it was 68 degrees yeasterday and 56 degrees right now.  The news station said last year at this time it was minus ten degrees, so you know how happy I am this weekend.  Of course, this will not last, I think it is supposed to go down tomorrow, but what can you expect, it is February.

Not much going on here, I did get my ironing done and we do have to go to the funeral home today.  A friend of DH, his father passed, so today is the only day to visit the funeral home.

Linda -  Sorry you are have trouble with DH, I can only image how hard it is for you, but remember to take time to care for yourself.

Jean - Hope you are feeling better today, do you have to work next week?

Kathleen -  Glad you had fun with you friends, even though it was quite a bit of driving for you.

Well guess I need to find something to wear, I keep telling myself I need to buy new dress clothes.  Sadly, I only think about it  when I have I have to wear them.  Guess that may be my project next week.

Well off to look for clothes, hope everyone has a great afternoon.

@Palady1, looks like we were posting at the same time, sorry to hear about DH's friend's father.
Here is what I had posted:
Good morning all, didn't see a post started yet.

Lots cooler today, but sunny. I straigtened the house and took a walk. That's it. lol I seem to have gotten lazy the last few days. Must see what I can find to do constructively. How is everyone?

Re: Shopaholics - ODAT Sunday 2/21

Good Morning/Afternoon!  Thanks for getting us started Susan and snicks.  Our weather is very nice -- highs in the 80's and lows in the 40's.  Glad your weather is so much better than last year.

I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night -- I was obsessed with putting together our tax documents after DH went to bed.  And, that made it difficult to get to sleep.  Then, DH got up before 5:00 a.m., and I needed to check on him and get him back to bed.  For some reason, he was running the hot water.  He was pretty with it this morning, thank goodness.  It is a difficult balance for me, but I'm a pretty determined/stubborn lady.  And, I really want to both help him and keep myself going.

Church was fine this morning, and we will leave for the gym shortly.  It was so crowded last week, but I did manage to do my machines.  Hope that will be the case today.

I went through DH's closet yesterday, and I found several things to donate.  I'll probably try to do so tomorrow.  I am still working on my closet and linens, etc.  Progress is very slow, but.....

Sorry some of you have been dealing with deaths of friends and family.  Difficult times -- God bless you.  Also sorry your Mom wasn't doing too well, twinny.

Waves to Jean, Kathleen, Arlene, twinny, Bernie, spix, Barbara, Marijane, LindaR, Charlene, Rosa, Gayle, Karen, pinky ann, and all of our posters and readers.

Have a good day everyone!

Hugs,

Linda

P.S. I'm a bit tempted by the TSV, but I'm not sure if this is the model I want to purchase.  Anyone have this Shark or know about it?

Susan--Thank you for starting the thread. Again, the weather people hit it on the nose. During the night, the heavy rains started and have continued. We have flood warnings out for some areas. There is one low area I have to go through when I go to the city, so hopefully, it will not be flooded tomorrow when I have the podiatrist appointment.  I work Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Right now, there is the possibility of snow coming in on Wednesday evening.

Linda--You have a lot of physical and emotional reserves helping you to deal with all the stresses.Tax returns, etc. are stressors enough without all the other issues being added in.  I can't help you with the current TSV.

Snicks--You are not alone in seeminng to be lazier this week. Good job on the walk.

I'm watching David and all the kitchen goodies which seem to be easy for me to resist. I've always been tempted to get that Fusion Slicer Dicer gadget but have never made the purchase.

Re: Shopaholics - ODAT Sunday 2/21

Hello all, not much going on in my world,  I went grocery shopping and can't believe I forgot the peanuts for the squirrels.

I'll pick up some peanuts tomorrow morning after I swing past the post office to mail the first of two birthday cards for my eldest sister.  Her birthday is Friday so I need to make sure she gets a card from me so nothing looks suspicious.  Her daughters are throwing her a surprise party for her 60th next Saturday.  She'll get her 'real card' from me at the party, he he he.

Re: Shopaholics - ODAT Sunday 2/21

Hi girls!  It's an icky, rainy day, with more of the same forecast through mid-week, but at least it's pretty warm.  I changed the bed and took the fleece sheets off; they'r'e washed and I'm hoping I can put them away...I'm SO tired of winter!  Cat Frustrated

I got my homework done last night; it was very easy for me - it's an MBA program, but I've been a corporate executive and had some very good mentors; thus far there's nothing new. I love learning, but I suspect I might be able to teach this class (and probably others), not just take it.

LindaL, I continue to pray for you - I know what a hard time you're going through.

I filled the bird feeder (a daily job - those little buggers can really eat!), and see the hot pepper suet lasted all of one day.  Well, as much as I love making them happy I can't afford to give them a new one every day, so they're going to have to make do with the others, which last a week, with a couple of hot pepper ones thrown in each month as a special treat.  They're 94¢ at Walmart; I checked the price on Amazon, and they average three times as much, so that's out.

Jean, I used to love those kitchen shows, but I have more stuff than I need, considering I don't have anyone to cook for; in fact, some of my "toys" are going to be listed for sale.  Mostly these days I bake, as those things are easy to share. I still haven't used my cat rolling pin; maybe I'll make cookies for the troops next week - I got a very nice thank you note from a young lady on a ship, so I want to do something else for her.

Nothing else going on - the floors are washed, and now I have to somehow get the wood floors shiny again...it's a never-ending job with this gang.  But...tomorrow is another day. Today I'm going to just veg out and listen to my Bible prophecy updates while I color (I've really been enjoying that since I got books that are of interest to me), although I do have to get the litter boxes scrubbed.

Hi to everyone - have a blessed day!

Please forgive me for not remembering who asked about the polka dot blouse.

It's being called

St. John's Bay® 3/4 Sleeve V-Neck Peasant Shirt

This is for the misses and the petites - you guys have more colors than talls, lol
