Shopaholics ODAT-- Monday, September 8

Good Morning Ladies! I don't know if many of you saw it, but Jean posted last night. She has been busy, and she had walked in the volcano yesterday! No TV since last Tuesday, and no time to post -- hope she continues to have a great visit to Hawaii.

It is very cloudy/gloomy looking here, but no rain so far. I was concerned that the rain would start on our walk, so DH and I have not walked this morning. Happy to report that he did join me at the gym yesterday. I plan to go to Curves later, and hopefully I will be able to to a Leslie Sanson DVD or at least part of one.

I have a neurologist appointment this morning and a bookclub meeting this afternoon. So, it will be a pretty busy day.

Nothing else to report from here. I'm not sure about the TSV -- I have quite a few Women With Control leggings, and I don't need more. But, I do like Denim & Co., so something else my catch my eye.

Have a good day everyone!

Hugs,

Linda

Good morning friends!! Linda thank you for starting us. I hope your appointment goes well. We had clouds last night even a little lightning when I was leaving Mom's and as I was coming home but no rain in either place. I did not make it to boot camp this morning, was too tired and went back to sleep instead. Maybe I will try to do a DVD at home too! Maybe if I write it here I will try to be accountable.

I love my WIC leggings - but of course just the phrase quickly reminds me of Jean's "sausage casings". I did see that she had posted last night. So glad she is enjoying her vacation.

Good afternoon ladies, hope all is well.

LindaL - Thank you for starting us today, and I hope your appt. goes well. Sorry you did not get your walk in, but nothing is worse than being caught in a rain storm. Hope DH is doing well. Saw you DGS picture and he is turning into quite the young man and soldier. Hope all goes well for him.

Kathleen - Hope you get some much needed rain, but too much at one time. We are having a sunny but cool day here, feels like fall is already here. I do hope we get our Indian Summer we usually get, I just love that time of year.

Not much going on here today, I have ironing to do and may go to the store for the ingredients for chicken soup. I am not much of a soup fan, but, I need to start eating healthier and get some of this weight off. I guess I don't cook unhealthy, but my portion sizes need to be watched more carefully and I do need to stop the snacking. Okay, like Kathleen said - I said it, so now I need to do it.

Well off to get some caffeine and get moving. Have a good day everyone.

Susan I love this time of year too, when it gets a little cooler. It has been 81 in the day and that is very nice. We went to the pool yesterday and DH was COLD! I thought it was a bit amusing.

I signed up for some of those online "swap" or "garage sale" groups in my area and have been considering selling some things, but found a few to buy as well. Trying to not look - there are a couple bags on there that are very attractive!

Hi girls!

Well, this week is off to a lousy start. I checked my bank balance as I often do and see I'm overdrawn because my mortgage went up! {#emotions_dlg.mad} I have to get my credit re-established so I can refinance with my local bank; I don't like dealing with the "big guys."

It's fairly cool out so I guess I won't be swimming today; I'm glad I got a good session in yesterday.

Hope your appointment went well, Linda.

Susan, I hear you on the portion sizes and the snacking - the latter especially is my downfall! When I'm busy I often actually forget to eat even meals, but when I'm bored, I reach for the food. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown} As for portion sizes, the APPETIZER that I ordered as my meal at Cheddar's yesterday was so big that I ate until I was stuffed, then brought home enough food for a second meal. I'm trying to use the "fool the mind" trick at home of using smaller plates, and I know I also need to drink a lot more water.

Well, guess I'm off to the bank to cover the overdraft before I get a fee. Have a blessed day, everyone.

Thank you to you ladies who have been so faithful in posting. I don't get worried anymore when the thread seems inactive because it comes around again and gets active.

I had a disastrous moment as I searched for my fitbit charger. It is gone, looked everywhere. Grumped at poor DH on the phone, ordered one on ebay then my friend called and loaned me hers. ha ha Charging it up right now.

DD called and I talked with her a long time, then had to apologize to DH and it's nearly bedtime already. Where does the time go?

My hair is so all over the place that it needs it's own facebook page! It's never been this long and DH loves it but it's quite the pain.

Hugs to all.
