I'm taking another day before I get back out walking, just don't trust my back with getting too far away and not being able to make it back, I know that sounds weird. Getting up out of bed seems to be the biggest issue right now, then once I move around some it does loosen up, but...
Did some extra work around the pool this morning, got laundry in the dryer, house straightened up and am going to clean bathrooms, then shower and that's about the extent of my excitement, lol. I did get my first 2 Linea items in the mail today, haven't opened the package yet. Will do that after my shower so I can try the items on.

And you wonder why your back hurts?  Girl, lay down on your side, pull your legs up and take some pressure off of your back.

@Bird mama, thanks. I know it sounds like I am doing more than I should, but around the house and yard, I do take a lot of breaks, lol. I'll try your suggestion though. Thanks again.

Bernie--Thank you for starting the thread. With 3 days worked, you have 4 days to either relax, do chores, or combo.

Twinny--Sorry the lawyer hasn't called you. I know you want to get everything settled before you go on the trip.

Linda--I am so glad that DH appears to be settling in at his new "digs," and that you are able to visit often. It certainly does make a difference in your own physical and emotional well-being.

Essie--I love eggplant parmesan. You definitely made the rounds today with minimal financial impact. Good shopping! Our temps are about 95 today and expected to be higher over the weekend.

3suwm5--Glad you were able to sleep in. Your weekend train ride and beer sampling sounds like fun, but I would exchange the beer sampling for wine sampling.

Snicks--I do hope your back feels better soon. Sometimes, you can do all types of heavy lifting, etc. and it does nothing to the back. At other times, the slightest twist in the wrong way will create long lasting pain. Back issues are the pits

I worked 3 days this week and was able to get home a little early this evening. My lower back has now joined the legs with stabbing pain, numbness, etc. I did see the specialist who referred me for an MRI and EMG based upon my "failing" a reflex test he gave. The 13th can't get here soon enough. 

I've dealt with back issues ever since I fractured it several years ago, but this is the first time I have had the shooting pain in the legs, numbness at times, etc. I did all the things recommended but when two months passed with it getting worse, I decided to see the specialist but didn't expect all the testing. I doubt that it will result in any drastic action, but even an answer to what is causing the problem would be sufficient.

I did get my Clarks Ashand Lane shoes that I ordered from Amazon at almost half the Q price. I haven't checked them out yet as I've been too tired, etc. to bother with packages.

I stopped at the lawyers office on Monday & paid his bill while out on my walk. The Monday before I called his office & last month I paid the bill in person & asked his secretary to have him call me!  The thing is he is very pleasant to speak with & it is a reputable law office.  He has 2 law offices so I know that he is busy, but all he said that I need to do is sign off of mom's estate business with him.

Had a nice lunch out with friends & beat the guys at cards.  Our friends gassed up, so they were happy.  DH didn't as we had 3/4 of a tank.  

I am having a lazy day again, while all of you are busy.  Leftovers for supper as DH wanted to have breakfast out & we brought 1/2 of our lunch home with us.

Our friends just left as they are expecting a phone call from their clinic as my BF's DH is having cataract surgery on Monday.  While they were here they mentioned needing a new water heater & water softener.  Our neighbor across the street is very good & will do it for them next week. He is very good & charges $20 an hour.

Off to the car show to get rid of my anxiety!  Pool party tomorrow.

@LindaLatte, I am so glad that the timing was right for DH's placement and that they are treating him well. Such a relief for you not to have all the daily stress involved in his care, which I know was becoming an issue for you and he did need much care. You were doing an excellent job of it though. Much better than I think I could do. Glad you found a desk that you like. Sounds like you are getting much done with your home.

@spix, wow, you were a lady on a mission this morning. Got a lot done. Trucker girl in your city again today, just got off the phone with her. She was going past O'Hare. Made me think of you, lol.

Twinny--Sometimes in larger offices, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing for lack of effective communication. Just call again and tell them that you are leaving on said date and if they want those papers signed before then that they need to call and set up a time.

I tend to agree that perhaps waiting to issue the check at the signing might have been better unless the money was coming from the estate and needed to be accounted for before the final accounting and paperwork was signed. Enjoy the car show and pool party; you need some relaxation!

I went to the drug store to pick up my prescriptions. While there, I got my annual flu shot. Because of my wacky immune system, I get one each year.

Hallelujah!  The lawyer just called & said he would like to meet with me later next week.  I told him that we are heading out early Wednesday morning, so I have a meeting at 3:00 on Tuesday.  He apologized for being so forgetful.  He said we can do part of the work then & finish when I get back home in 3 weeks.  I just wanted to close out mom's accounts & get this estate mess over with.  He said that I will get one more bill for these remaining meetings.  Trust me,  he will get paid when he is ALL done!
