Can you wear a nude/taupe wedge with a black maxi dress or skirt?

I've seen that done many times in fashion pages....especially with a nude sandal-type shoe for the summer.  Can't see why not.  Of course, you'll probably get lots of varied opinions by the end of this discussion!

I don't  why not. It's a neutral and would be fine with a short black dress/skirt.  A maxi would be the same.

IMO, absolutely!  It lengthens the look of the leg, being its such a neutral color on the skin.

Absolutely!  That's the whole point of nude sandals and pumps.  Nude goes with everything, it becomes an extension of your leg and makes you look taller but also the shoe doesn't  distract from your outfit.  A nude shoe is also fresh and modern.
