Terra cotta and like colors are my least favorite colors in the world.

 

My first house had this color carpet throughout and it took years before we could afford to replace it.

Over 10 years ago I painted the area above the chair rail in my dining room a color that looks very similar. It was named cinco de mayo. I loved it. The area below the chair rail was painted in shaker beige.Both Benjamin Moore paints. I never regretted painting that color. It was eye catching so sure.

Oh, all of the paint companies are jumping on a color of the year bandwagon... Benjamin Moore has one too, I think their choice, predictably, is some shade of grey...
