LOL I think some people are uptight! They feel compelled to tell others how to dress. And many times the examples they post - I just say no...I would never want to dress in that 'style' or combination of items

I have no place or event to wear that ballgown, though it is pretty. Maybe that was the reason Shawn wore the casual shirt, to convince buyers that they could wear it casually. I can just see myself pushing a vacuum cleaner in that skirt.

@ShanusI have always considered a button down shirt and a skirt out of balance since the 80's when they first began pushing that combination. To me, it's ugly.

I couldn't disagree more. It "balances" beautifully. I've worn that style combo long before Carolina Herrara made it iconic. I think it's fabulous. It's not the cut that's off in Shawn's shirt and that's throwing the look off. It's the shirt color and fabric.

The look predates the 80s. Of course, we all have different taste. I prefer Herrara, Sharon Stone and even Shawn's looks to the ones below. Bacall and Kelly look too boring and stuffy for me, but, I like the look when it's executed to my taste
