I agree the denim shirt was just wrong, I also think that skirt overwhelms tiny Shawn.

I didn't like the combination of the denim shirt with the red skirt at all.

I was surprised that David D. complmented her on it.  Or maybe he felt he should.

Not that I'm opposed to wearing something casual on top if I were to wear a full length skirt, but at 5'2 I wouldn't, I would lean more towards a little black mock neck tee probably

I think it's the color combination too. At least that's what's throwing me off

I agree about the color combo, it just didn't work for me.

Plus, tying the shirt at the waist just made her look kind of dumpy.

@ECBG  ...especially not a blue chambray shirt w/ a long satin skirt (?!?!!?). Sharon Stone wore a Gap top w/ a ball gown type skirt to an awards show and made best dressed that year, but SK is not SS.

I like Joan's "Glamourous Plaid Midi Skirt" much more than the red one.

@SeaMaiden  today we are on the same wavelength. I am looking at Shawn who from the waist up looks casual and from the waist down, the outfit is dressy. Two completely different looks which for me don't mesh. At all.

Just thought about something - this is how I would probably look if I had put my skirt on but needed to finish my hair/makeup before putting on the beautiful top I was wearing to accompany the skirt.

@Tique  Lol. 😜

@Andreatoo  WOW at $125 that's a little bit out of my price range for denim.  And your right, it does not go with the pretty red skirt she is wearing.  Weird!

@EZ shopper  In my mind, even if the pale blue blouse were silk or satin, it wouldn’t “go” with a red skirt. I’ve worn a silk blouse w/ black jeans, but SK’s mixing of moods just seems way off.

I thought that skirt was gorgeous. Made me want to attend a dressy Christmas party.

I also thought that it looked very nice on Shawn.

@icezeus

I agree it's a beautiful skirt and it looked good on her.

While I wouldn't pair it up the way Shawn did it I would do the reverse! But with a dark denim as opposed to a washed or bleached denim

I missed the shows,  but took a look at some videos from the show. Love the styling of the red skirt with denim top Heart

Of all of the Q hosts, I think Shawn and Amy have the best sense of fashion style. Especially relatable for those of us that like/shop/wear contemporary styles. I would enjoy raiding their closets Heart Woman Very Happy

Edited to add photo. Red is basically sold out.
