Re: Sharon F. in a Cold Shoulder top on Gourmet Holiday

@yellowBeetle

It's certainly your prerogative not to like it but I'm afraid it's been around, off and on, for many decades.  I think the only difference now is that it's called 'cold shoulder'; it hasn't been previously....

@Andreatoo

I so agree with you that this "look" has been around, off and on, forever...

But it seems now to be an almost "forced trend" in that it is popping up everywhere! Still think it will fade away soon....only to come back again sometime in the future!!

Edited to add that the last time I remember this look being big was in the early 1990s when Donna K. coined the term "cold shoulder" to describe the cut-outs. But it quickly disappeared after a year or two. Now it has been "in" since last year but is on lots of lists of fashion trends to avoid!!

I caught part of that on tv; it was a cute little olive colored dress with the cold shoulder detail. I thought it looked great on her!

I don't mind the cold shoulder thing Smiley Happy

i thought she looked great!

i will say the cold shoulder look doesnt bother me at all. if i dont want to wear something i just dont wear it. i really dont think anything is "in" or "out" anymore.

I do not like cold shoulder tops. There certainly are a lot of them out in the market place, but they are not my style.

I don't like the cold shoulder look at all.  It definitely doesn't seem like something that is appropriate for a professional office, but someone I work with wears them frequently.

My thoughts exactly @sunshine45  If I don't like it, I just don't wear it.  It doesn't matter how much it's showcased everywhere.  I actually do like some cold shoulder, but not the really droopy ones.

Just like the Pantone color of the year, plaid clothes, big block heels on shoes, or camo clothes.  It doesn't faze me at all these fashion "must haves" are presented everywhere over & over.  I don't like it, I don't buy it, and that's cool.

Never in this world would I wear a 'cold shoulder'  top !   And I don't like them on anyone else either.

I did not see Sharon in the top but she is a petite woman and can usually wear just about any top.  I, personally, do not care for the cold shoulder.  I hate anything that everyone else is wearing especially when it is a trend.  However, last night or I should say early this morning there was a new woman (forgot her name) with dark brown long hair.  She was wearing a white blouse and had it off one shoulder and it looked beautiful.  It was a beautiful style blouse with soft, long flat ruffles.  If I remember correctly she was on with Nancy H.  HeartCat Happy
