Remember leisure suits? Back in the ...what? 70's?

What do you think of shackets?

@LTT1   Actually what I really find off putting of them is their name.  Lol

They really started trending last year and I bought a few from Madewell that I love.  I bought 2 this year --1 corduroy and 1 quilted so I clearly like them. I'm in and out of the car a lot for my job, so they're perfect for that. 😊

I've been wearing a long-sleeve shirt over a tank for over 50 years...

I love shackets. I never cared much for the old fashioned 1970's style leisure suits. I'm not crazy about calling them shackets. I just think of them as a longer button down shirt shirt over another shirt..tee, turtleneck or tank.

Re: Shacket? Or Leisure Suit?

Leisure suit, probably not.    A shacket is okay but for me it would depend on the style of it.   I do own a couple of LL Bean heavier button down shirts for the coldest days of the winter but they don't refer to them as "shackets" , just a flannel lined button down.  DH also wears something similar when sitting at his computer for a couple of hours, tends to make him chilly.

I been wearing "shackets" all my adult life.  I wear long sleeved shirts over tanks, blouses, & tee shirts when the weather or AC requires.

@LTT1

  I like shackets, I don't have any but I like the look on others. I'm just a hoodie/workout jacket girl through and through...that's my go to.

  I'm also not a 70's leisure suit girl, I'm more of a 90's velour tracksuit girl.

I so miss my juicy couture type velour tracksuits. I thought they looked cute (for indoors) and were comfy. I've been looking for something similar lately....

@Imaoldhippie @Desertdi  I agree.  I don't like the name, but here in the Pacific Northwest it's called layering.  It is a good casual look.
