I have stopped trying to waste time and money looking for dupes of anything.  It never was the same and I always regretted the purchase and continued to pine for the real deal.

Now if I want that $40 lipstick, I get it instead of a dozen cheapies from the drugstore.  Same goes for clothing that I love.  The cost per wear justifies pretty much any price especially when compared to items that were "not quite right" and were only worn once or twice.

That's been my experience for the most part, too, @NJgirl 1205.

I feel exactly the same way. But honestly, I've had no issues with Colleen's brand at all.  I own 2 of them.  One from last year and one from this year.  No massive shedding once washed.  The fabric is substantial enough for me.  But then, I don't own BD and maybe if I did, I'd feel differently.

The upcoming TSV is a pass.  That is just way too long.

I'd be very interested in the TSV if it had a closure.  I love Barefoot Dreams.

What is the obsession this season wtih open-front cardis?  That's all I see everywhere.  They annoy the heck out of me.

I don't even think I could put a closure on this as it would probably look odd.

You might find something of interest on the Eddie Bauer site.  I especially like their sleep cardigans and wear them everywhere.  Available promo codes make them more affordable.

I just recieved this in the green color.  So very soft and comfy! I only plan to wear it at home as I'm really short and it is very long on me. It does run large so I'd order down a size.  Too expensive to sent back so it makes a great shorter robe for me.  Waiting for the BD TSV so I can compare the fabric.

@Chi-town girl are you able to share the item number? Thanks in advance, cuz I'm sure if you can, you will!

@cantdrive55 - we can't post item numbers here from the Insider mag. Have you requested a free subscription?  just ping Beth or one of the mod's to add your subscription.

You can get the Insider item numbers from a blogger. just do a google search for "blue skies for me please"

Looks lime the TSV is priced to sell - it is the same price as Colleen's dupe. I have this one in the purple & the black. I've been wearing these + my Barefoot cardi from Q, the previous tsv almost daily. Love Heart

@dex - are you asking about Colleen's cowl neck sweater? I did not buy that one, but I did buy 2 of her cardi's & one cold shoulder version in the pretty aqua/teal. I had several coupons, so it gave me that extra incentive to buy 3 items Woman LOL
