Re: Scalloped Beaded Capelet

If one was concerned about upper arm/body covering,

I would choose a more modern scarf..or a shawl-type of garment.

This particular capelet, albeit pretty with detail work,

looks dated & matronly. A scarf is ‘fresher’..IMO.

Oh yum! I love the black capelet with the beading - gorgeous. Of course I have no place to wear it with my casual/retired lifestyle, but it's still something I'd wear if I had the chance!

Looks like something a Victorian socialite would have worn in the early 1900s.

Re: Scalloped Beaded Capelet

Being in a warmer climate, I own many short poncho's, ruana's, scarves, etc to wear when a sweater or coat would be too much.

I love this, I'd wear it.   Don't care about any body issues or anyone's opinion LOL

Beautiful alternative to a shrug or shawl.

Re: Scalloped Beaded Capelet

I absolutely LOVE the black one. So much more dressy than a sweater or shrug.
