And here we go with the bashing of today's young people by the same generation of people who don't know how to program a phone, install a modem, access a remote learning platform, create a slide presentation or spreadsheet, analyze propoganda, and have the emotional intelligence of a bag of rocks. As a teacher, I work with smart, ambitious, compassionate, critical thinkers who keep me feeling young and energetic and inspire me to be a lifelong learner.

On another note, the 70's are my favorite decade for fashion. Love this pic!

First of all, I thought we were discussing fashion trends then and now. Secondly, (and I'm not trying to be critical) but shouldn't one say "the 70s is my favorite decade...? I want to be corrected if I'm wrong so I know for future reference. Thanks!

@Love to Run   You sound like a wonderful teacher.  We need more like you and more schools that allow teachers to help develop young minds into their full potential to think on their own and not be spoon fed everything.

Some students are criticized for asking questions or not being in agreement.

Thank you for your service to our young folks.

My youngest sister is a special ed teacher.  I admire the work good teachers do.

@Carmie Thank you so much! I love what I do and I love my kids.🥰

@LuvSoCal You are absolutely correct. We were discussing fashion until someone started to bash kids. You are also correct, I made a grammatical error on a message board. It must be my 20th century education🙄

@Love to Run Thank you for being so gracious but, in retrospect, I should not have mentioned it. I apologize.🙁

A friend of mine had these in high school. She wore them with her jeans when we went out on weekends. I could never wear those without my heel sliding off the back. I wore sling back wedge sandals as a substitute.

I remember those shoes when I was in high school.  I considered them torture devices.  I had a pair of Candies shoes but without such a high heel.  The shoes would not bend when I walked and I had blisters as proof.
