SOLD OUT - - Not Really

Graver's circles - A301143 - top yesterday that was reduced down to $24 range. SG couldn't stop exclaiming what a value - then SOLD OUT was announced. Not so fast - still lots of colors and sizes available! Was it a false statement or did hundreds of customers order and then quickly cancel? 3 star product

Cancelled after reading reviews? I considered it until I read the reviews on inconsistent sizing.

I suspect lots of buyers pull the trigger too fast when they see a sale price and only then read the reviews, so I believe there could be lots of cancellations. I also wonder if the sold out sign is used when the inventory is down to some magic number of sizes or quantity, not just when every last piece is gone.

As for those sale purchases here and everywhere. I'm someone who buys close to 100% of her clothes brick and mortar and I always check the sale racks when I shop. I have noticed, though, that when I'm purging my wardrobe periodically, it's most often items I bought from those sale racks that I just never quite gave much love to. They go to friends, thrift, or trash depending...

So more often than not now, I find myself paying the dreaded full price. I really don't need much, so where I used to buy 3 or 4 items, now I buy one and happily wear it a lot. If you'd told me I could spend less shopping full price, I would have thought you were senseless, but I know I've ended up with money left in my clothing budget every year for 3 years I've been deliberately working this way.

I also read the Reviews this AM - some are okay and most awful. I never considered buying it - too busy - but was shocked how fast the SOLD statement came while SG and SK were swinging the tops begging for a sale. Just didn't smell right.

I think they take into consideration the number of people on the phone too and that doesn't mean the people on the phone are ordering what is being shown on air.

We have no way of knowing if hundreds of that top were canceled. There could be 2 available in a color.

Order and cancel? Probably not.

You should spend some time learning more about how the QVC system works.
