There have been a lot of apparel pieces made of slub/"textured" fabric on QVC this spring & summer.

I began wondering if the fabric manufacturer had a sale on that type of fabric and perhaps offered a quantity discount lol.

I have a couple of slub pieces, but that's it. I decided that a pair of pants that were slub/textured that I ordered were only thick enough for wearing around the house. I wish there would've been a broader selection of fabrics at the Q this season.

- And yes, I did most of my shopping at other places to get the fabrics & style options I wanted.

It's back-to-school season, and I'm not one to break the tradition of getting myself some new clothes for fall: a fall jacket, a couple sweaters, a few long-sleeve tops, a pair of loafers ...

So, I'll sip my pumpkin spice latte and watch for new fall introductions.

What clothes are you looking forward to buying for fall?

Have you already started?

I am not a fan of slub.  When I see or hear the word slub I don't even want to look at it.

I'm not either.  But I've seen it more and more from several retailers lately.

Re: SLUB A DUB DUB

[ Edited ]

I'm in an area with cold winters, so I like to buy a couple of waffle shirts.   I like LL Bean for the henley-type neck, but I did buy a KIm Gravel button up last year that I like to wear.

Otherwise, I live in Lands End quarter-zip fleece tops when it gets cold.  Right now some colors are only $17.99 on their website.

I find that the fabric content for slub is not always all that comfortable or nice to wear.  I had a slub knit top from Eileen Fisher that was a beautiful color but I never felt comfortable in it because it felt more plastic-y than soft and I finally just donated it to the local charity shop.

I'm looking to buy another puffer jacket.  I have 2 coats from Lands End and a packable jacket from Macy's.  I find them to be lightweight and warm.  Waiting for better sales.  I get a lot of wear out of them in Chicago winters.

I have several of the older Land's End insulated Squall Parkas and one of their insulated Long Squall coats.

One is always in my car for winter driving.  They are the best, the warmest, and the most affordable.

I've lost 40 pounds in the past two years.  (10 pounds I lost once I retired and started walking my dog more, 10 pounds after my husband was diagnosis with CHF, 20 pounds since he passed away).

All of my clothes are falling off me.   I just ordered 2 pairs of Gloria Vanderbilt "Amanda" stretch jeans from Kohls.  ( I got them in capri length for the summer and really liked them). They're on sale for $24.99 each.   Can't go wrong with the price and they're really nice too.  So much better price than QVC's prices for jeans.
