I recall a time about 20 years ago you couldn't find much navy in my area.  Not even shoes.  Soooooo glad it's a color back to stay!

@gertrudecloset ............Hummmm, since the last time I dressed formal was high school prom way back in the dark ages Im not really a "gala fashion" expert.  I also cant post pictures here, but I really like the first navy blue, one shoulder dress, its very much me when I was young and had the figure for it.  I would chose very, very pale yellow shoes to go with it, and yellow diamond dangle earrings.

Or maybe dyed to match navy shoes with lots of sparkle on them, but still wear the yellow diamond earrings.

@Imaoldhippie  Oh, I see.  So you thought that I meant to show us what you've worn in the past?  Oh no.  This is "make believe."  Or if some have hit a red carpet or two they could share that.  This is not a serious thread.  It was meant to be fun.  As in using your imagination for the sake of fun with fashion.  Hmmmmm.  The last Black tie event I went to was in 1998.  I didn't wear anything blue though.
