SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (Wednesday, APRIL 27th)

Good Evening!  Happy to hear your trip is off to a good start, Glenda.  Wise idea to stay at a motel rather than camp when the temperature is so low.

I have had a busy day -- usual morning walk, exercise DVD, and Walmart pick-up -- first time in a long while when everything I ordered was available.  Then, I spent several hours watching my friend's husband while she and his two children visited a long term care facility.  She has reached the point where she just cannot take care of him at home.  Last Saturday, he was fine, but today, he was a bit agitated.  Fortunately, he didn't fall or anything, which was a big concern for me. From what I observed, she will have a very difficult time with placing him.

There were lots of overripe bananas at the senior lunch program yesterday, so I brought them home and made banana breads -- ended up making four of them.  There were more bananas, but I ran out of eggs, so I froze the rest.

So far so good with DD's house sale.  Fingers crossed that continues.

Hope everyone has had a nice Wednesday and sleeps well.  Please post if you have a chance.

Hugs,

Linda

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (Wednesday, APRIL 27th)

Hello all, I just realized I didn't post on Tuesday or Wednesday.  Our weather has been unstable (cold/hot or wet/dry) and I had a banger of a sinus headache on Tuesday.  I usually wait out a headache and by Tuesday night I was taking my BP, temperature and for the first time a COVID test.  I had a brief unmasked exposure to my anti-vax neighbor on Saturday and I couldn't stop my mind from wandering into COVID territory.

I'm a twit - it was sinus pressure, lol.

Glenda, I'm glad you are on your way and sharing notes from the road.

Linda, I'm sorry that your friend's husband's condition is such that finding long term care may be difficult.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise
