I decided to start a new page. The bold type should awaken everyone. Lol
it is cool and windy. I have mentioned many times that the intensity of the wind is amazing.
i was planned on making a target run, but since i feel as if a truck hit me, i will do an online order and pick it up tomorrow.
My dils dad is taking the family out for Easter brunch at the local golf course. Vyrn said they have a good buffet.
i was sorting through clothes. Vanessa likes helping me so I am going to wait until,Friday.
I hope everyone is done well. I am saying prayers for Jean and Glenda.

Good Afternoon/Evening! Thanks for getting us started, Barbara. You might want to add April 14th to the subject line if you have time.
It is cloudy and warm here today. No red flag warnings, thank goodness. I am not a fan of strong winds.
Sorry you are not feeling well. Hope you are better tomorrow. Nice that Vanessa likes sorting through clothes with you and you will be going out for Easter brunch at a good place. Hopefully, you will not have problems going through the buffet or someone can help you.
I was able to take a longish walk in the neighborhood this morning, and my visit with my former hospice patient went quite well. Her daughter was there, and showed pictures of her when she was younger -- like in her 70's. What a beauty, even at that age. And, she still has those sparkling blue eyes and great smile at 98.
Doing lots of odds and ends today. Plus a lot of reading, thinking, and praying. I finally heard back from the nurse practitioner about the medication I am taking for neuropathy (feet), and she said to increase the dose for a while (three pills instead of one per day) to see if that helps. If so, she will prescribe the higher dose.
Waves to Barbara, Bernie, Fressa, Susan, Glenda, and all of our posters and readers.
Hope everyone sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda

Hello all, I worked in the garage addition today and I disassembled one of the wooden shelves that my husband built. When I say it was a big shelf I am not kidding - he used a hollow core door 36x80 inches. I took my time and removed a bunch of bolts and then removed a sh*t ton of nails and finally got the thing down.
I had $20 in rewards certificates and 30% off certificate from JCP so I did a little shopping. ![]()
It's funny, I was always a big bag type of gal. I always carried larger satchels and after I broke my foot got used to traveling around the house with a fanny pack on. Once I started driving and walking for dr appointments or grocery shopping I knew that I wasn't that steady on my right foot. I had a limp for a long time and sometimes still limp when the weather gets damp and I didn't want to try to carry my normal sized bag. It seemed to scream - she can't run - snatch her purse, lol.
Now I like small bags and realize that I don't have to carry everything but the kitchen sink.

Hi Everyone!
Our weather is more of the same with rain, cool temps and wind gusts. It seems to be just hanging around. I won't mind it much if only the gusts weren't as strong.
I'm doing my best to keep those plants alive in the garage. Cottage Farms shipped those way too early for our area. So far I give them a 50-50 chance.
sydsgma1-----Hope you feel some relief to your pain sooner than later. Easter brunch sounds great. Enjoy.
Birdmama---Good Luck with your garage addition project. Those things always take longer than you plan. Makes me wonder if we should have left them up. I like the purse and shoes you ordered. I'm a big purse girl as well. I keep hoping to reduce the size one of these years.....I guess that's still a work in progress.
LindaLatte---Hope your new medication dose will give you the proper relief. So good to hear your hospice patient was awake and happy.
I had ordered today's TSV last year (in white) and like it. I wish it was today's price instead. I see a few more sale prices on some products which is always a good thing. I'm trying to look only since I purchased a few items for the outside.(solar lights and flower garden fence).
Have a good afternoon/evening.

Good Afternoon/Evening! Hope your plants survive, Fressa. It is a bit windy here today, but still warm with a high of 90 degrees predicted.
I like the looks of the TSV, but I just cannot wear linen or linen blends. I ordered two shirts last year (not the TSV, but linen blends), and I ended up donating both since my skin was irritated just from trying them on. I guess I could of returned the SG one, but it was a reduced price, and the S&H would have resulted in very little money.
As usual, I like your purchases, Bernie. I am trying to downsize my purse, and have made some progress, but still carry quite a bit. I carry a smaller bag when I don't need so much "stuff".
Jean has been moved to a rehab facility, and so far things are going well. In addition to posting information about her move, she posted an article about the two young ladies (sisters) who helped her when she fell. They received the Good Samaritan's award from their church, and the article stated that Jean was one of the counties much loved ladies. How wonderful!
Hope you are feeling better today, Barbara.
The senior lunch program went well. I heard from DD that there will no longer be a wedding ceremony for my second DGS and his wife in July -- just a very informal barbecue. So, no need to dress up. I have decided to wear the dress I found to church this Sunday. Don't want it to go to waste.
The senior lunch program went well (volunteers back to full strength), as did my walk this morning. I plan to go to the gym and get back to cleaning.
Waves to Fressa, Bernie, Barbara, Susan, Glenda, and all of our posters and readers.
Hugs,
Linda

Hi Everyone!
LindaLatte---Thanks for the update on Jean. I'll keep her in my prayers.
Today is sunny but cool with mild wind gusts. Foecast looks more normal for this time of year. I'll cross my fingers that it goes that way. The solar lights arrived yesterday so I'm anxious to get outside and put them in the ground.I hope it's thawing. Today I'm dusting the house. UGH!!! The lower level is awful from the workroom project. ( wven with the air filters running, etc.
I'll try to write more later. The dogs have a "potty" need.
Have a good afternoon/evening.

Good Afternoon! Hope it warms up in your area so you can put in the solar lights, Fressa. That dust must really make things difficult. Good that you got the dusting done.
it is cooler and quite breezy here today -- high of 76 degrees predicted. There is a possibility of rain and cooler weather still tomorrow. I have blankets on standby just in case they are needed.
The luncheon yesterday turned out very well. I know our former hospice volunteer coordinator was touched and very happy.
After lunch, I had an appointment with a physical therapist, and that also went well. He said that there was nothing that they could do about the neuropathy in my feet (medicine and lotions might help a little), but they could help me with balance issues that can result from neuropathy. He gave me a couple of exercises to do, recommended using a walking pole, and set up four appointments with a tech in their practice who specializes in balance problems, etc.
I had hiking poles, and tried one out on my walk this morning -- it really helped me feel more confident. So, I plan to use it every morning.
After that visit, I went to the grocery stores and Walmart. Bought a few special treats for Easter -- asparagus and filled pasta, etc. Not many bargains, but I did find eggs for $4.99 a dozen (sale from $7.99). I will need to go back since a couple of "needs" were out-of-stock.
This morning I had a dentist appointment, and that went well. My hygienist had a baby in February, so I got to see the pictures of that little cutie. I had a different dentist, and he seemed nice.
I went to the thrift store after the dentist, and filled out an application for a volunteer job there. I think that I can fit in some hours here and still work at the senior lunch program, visit my former hospice patients, etc.
And, I am having an interview with the recruiter for the Sheriff's Auxiliary on Monday. They have a training program that starts at the end of May, and I want to hear more about what I could do there. It may or may not be possible for me to do three regular volunteer jobs, but I would like to try.
Waves to Fressa, Bernie, Barbara (hope you are feeling better), Susan, Glenda, and all of our posters and readers.
Hugs,
Linda

it is chilly here..I finally turned on the heat. It could be in the low 20s tonight. Brr. But Easter is supposed to be in the low 60s so I will try a dress and jean jacket.
i had my njections yesterday. 2 nurses give them at the same time because they are not pleasant. I have no energy today..and the sun al headache. 😔
Linda, I had my pt evaluation. I really like the therapist and he did a thorough evaluation, unlike the therapy I had in the Fall. He said I can definitely improve my mobility and stability.
Linda, I am glad the walking poles are helping you.Good luck with your interviews. There is a Headstart program and I am going to check out soon.
Easter blessings to you. 🌼🌼🌸🐥🐥
