SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, NOV. 17)

Hi Everyone!

Well...it's cloudy but a bit spring like in temp. Last night it was very cold. The remainder of the week is to be be cooler. I'm not a fan of these alternating temps. UGH!!!

Today I will probably steam some wrinkles I spied in some of the drapery. I may putter outside for a bit but I'll see how much energy is left after the steaming. Some of the ground is still wet so I can't cover any furniture today.

I noticed last night that one of our neighbors has their Christmas lights up and running. The other neighbor has the most beautiful carved wood turkeys flanking his front door. They must be 3'x3'. Stunning. I''m in a small panic because I don't have cards purchased for either holiday and the birthdays. Hopefully, I'll be able to accomplish that task by the weeks end.

I did watch some of the Q this am. I do love the L&L but have no need for the TSV. It does look like a good one with the sizes and handles. Enjoy it if you purchase.

I caught a portion of the "Posh Presents"  inbetween movies. A few items caught my eye but the prices were too high. It didn't seem to have the selection as past years but the times have changed.

Have a good afternoon/evening.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, NOV. 17)

Good Morning/Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Fressa.  I know what you mean about not being a fan of alternating temps.  It is cooler here, but still should make it up into the 70's for the next several days.

Like you, I have noticed some neighbors who have Christmas lights already, and I also have not purchased Christmas cards yet.  I had several cards leftover from last year, and I'm thinking about cutting back this year.  So few people seem to send cards these days.  I will send some regardless, but others seem a little silly.

No TSV for me either.  I do like them, but have no need for more storage containers.  They would be great for gift-giving, but I no longer exchange gifts outside the family.

Someone on our local bulletin board asked if anyone had an electric knife sharpener that they wanted to sell or get rid of, and after thinking about it for a while, I decided to offer up one that I had.  To be truthful, I purchased it years ago, rarely used it, and not in the past couple of years at all.  Trying to let go of things I am keeping "just in case".  The man who wanted it just picked it up.  He lives not far away.

My church planned to move to indoor services this Sunday, but due to a large increase of COVID cases in the area, and a large number of elderly/older parishioners, decided to keep them outdoors on the patio.  Hopefully, the weather will cooperate.

I decided to make some soup for lunch -- sort of an experimental mixture of things.  I have an OLLI Zoom class this afternoon and plan to do an exercise DVD and some reading.  Perhaps a little cleaning as well.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.

Hugs,

Linda

Freesa--Thank you for starting the thread. We are facing the alternating temps but rumor has it that the great weather we have had will be replaced by much colder weather. The weather people said today was a perfect day to put up Christmas decorations as you would not have to bundle up and wear gloves that makes it more difficult to decorate.

The handle on the TSV was a turn off for me. I will not be purchasing it, which is the first time they were introduced. Since I am no longer working, I no longer need them for gifts for the office.

Like Linda, I do like the Lug bag. I have the smaller vesrsion so I knew the XL one would hold my essentials. I was uncertain about the butterfly pattern but it is subtle and works well.
