SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, AUG. 9)

Good morning, shopping friends. I've been enjoying some of the fashion presentations today, but reminding myself of my personal commandment right now of "Thou shall not buy!." I really did like that C Wonder top.

Do I need the TSV? I've existed without it but it could be a convenience if I used it. The microwave and I are BFF  I have a hunch I might not use it enough to make it cost effective.

I see there will be a Kipling hour on Friday. I know those who got the bags like them, so I might be checking these out again.

It is a beautiful sunny day. I did have plans to go to the city but got delayed. I have a hunch that after I fix myself some lunch that I will be returning to my book to relax for an hour and then see what I can do around the house. I'm just not overly motivated to make that 3 hours round trip on the road plus time in the stores. I really have to get an early start, which I didn't do today.

Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely

Hi Jean @KonaKat and thanks for starting the thread today.  I received my 2 new blouses from JCP.

I love this one

Worthington 3/4 Sleeve V Neck T-Shirt-Womens Talls

This one I'm still trying to decide on.  I thought the sleeve was banded - didn't know it was elastic.  It doesn't squeeze my arm at all - I just know it's there, if that makes any sense.  Both blouses fit beautifully.

Worthington Long Sleeve V Neck Woven Dots Blouse-Talls

I ordered something from the Q yesterday.  I had these flameless candles on my wish list and noticed yesterday morning that they were on clearance.

These will be tucked into a bookcase all year long.

Set of 2 Candle Impressions Flameless Duck Gourds or Pumpkin Owls - H203106

@meallen616  We're having open window weather here in SE Michigan too.  I have Friday off with the intent of getting the yard work done ahead of the rain that is supposed to be coming this weekend.  Wouldn't you know, I heard the forecast yesterday and the rain is coming Thursday night into Friday, lol.

Jean, I haven't seen much of QVC for several weeks.  My microwave is my BFF too.  I use it every day.  I want to see the Kipling show, because I have no idea what they offer other than purses.

Our weather has been fabulous for quite a while.  We are getting 50's at night & 70's by day.  I am in "weather heaven." I have been walking early & having some wonderful laundry days.

Yesterday we went to a nearby town for a little shopping & lunch out.   My only purchase was a much needed pair of sunglasses from T J MAXX.  I wanted a pair to keep in my moped.   I have been napping each afternoon.  Getting up early & fresh air has me extra tired.

We have friends coming soon & we are going to see our little polka band & having lunch there.

Supper is a slice of pizza with our friends from our newly opened Qwik Trip for $1.  It opened this week & is a much larger one with a better location.

I was very happy to hear a report about Arlene too.  She had such interesting posts.  I know that mine are usually boring.  I am enjoying another lazy day!

Hugs to all of you.

Beautiful day here in Indiana - still have all windows open and it looks like this weather is sticking around for awhile!  Loving having bedroom window open at night.  Have my sweet angels with me today (Story and Sedona) and they are curled up for a nap after their treats.  Watching some YouTube beauty bloggers today.  Just chillin and relaxing.  It's a great, beautiful day!

Meallen, I am LOVING our weather too.  Aaaah.  Cool nights & 70's by day!

Bird Mama, we are expecting some rain tonight & tomorrow but no severe storms.  We need rain, but not 10" at once.  Those candles are just Darling.  I like things that can be displayed all year too.  Fall is my favorite time of the year & I start getting my fall things out at the beginning of September.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS: ONE DAY AT A TIME (WEDNESDAY, AUG. 9)

meallen and others have summed the weather up well: we can have several weeks more of this type of weather.

Bernie--Loved the top blouse but understand the problem with the second one. Love the birdies you purchased yesterday.

Twinny--You lead an interesting life, so don't discount it. At least, you are exploring different places far more often than me.

hoosiergirl--It is a great day for relaxing our favorite way. My cat has disapeared so I expect that he is hunting another sunny window spot.

I'm still debating the TSV. Grilling from frozen is appealing to me as I often make last minute choices. Off to relax with the Kindle.

@twinny70  I'm in heaven with the weather we are having.  I don't even care that the furnace kicks on at night.
