Good morning, shopping friends. It is another dreary day with some rain in the forecast again. Mother Nature is not being fair in her distribution of the rain this Summer.
I found something interesting. After yesterday's Peter Thomas Roth TSV, I decided to explore his website and see what was available. The site has a list of vendors not authorized to sell his products. It certainly is an interesting list:
https://www.peterthomasroth.com/Page/Un-Authorized%20Retailers/00000008
I guess we have a Fall Fashion Day coming up. I remember when I used to look forward to that day's programming. Now, I look forward to it almost as much as CIJ as there is rarely anything new. Hopefully, there will be some new items offered that are within a reasonable price range.
I'm debating the Emeril air fryer TSV but at the same time wonder how much I would use it. I am looking for something as a "me" treat which is why I was exploring the PTR website as well as his items on the Q, but perhaps sthe air fryer might work. Then there is the Tova solid perfume compact which I would like for handbag, travel (rare now), etc. but the reviews are mixed.
I'm not overly motivated right now to do anything. Translated, I am feeling lazy. I am waiting for my hair stylist to return a phone call as I need to make an appointment before school starts.
Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely.

Good morning all and thanks @KonaKat for the start. That is an interesting list of unauthorized vendors, for sure.
I may/may not watch any of the fall fashions that are upcoming, depends on what else is going on around here. I also used to be more interested in it than lately.
We all have days when we are less motivated, mine was yesterday.
I slept better last night, didn't wake till about 4:30 so I am feeling somewhat better/less tired after my rest day. Am washing sheets and comforters from the bed, also the guest room bed, just to freshen them up. Also have been out to take care of the pool and hosed off the back patio, it gets so much dirt and debris that it needs hosed off fairly frequently. I will need to go buy gas for the mowers and the power washer today, as tomorrow I am thinking I might power wash the deck. Then the yard will be in need of mowing, probably by Friday. I think we have rain in the forecast for the entire weekend. Not much else happening here.
Hope everyone has a nice day. Waves....

Snicks--It is great that you were able to sleep well last night. It does sound that your day is being filled with a variety of activities. The lawn person came and did my lawn yesterday while it was a dry spell, so I hope you can get the lawn done before the rains come.
This is interesting. Last night, I ordered a PTR item that was on waitlist thinking that I likely would not get it. I just checked my order status and see it is in process. When I check out the item, it is still listed as "waitlist only." Time will tell.

It is very jot and humid here. I have accomplished most of my summer projects are finished.i try not to look for things to do that really do not need to be done. The humidity continues to play havoc on my joints.
we had a neighbor night out function last night...not too mNy were there but it was fun. I find a lot of people prefer to isolate themselves. When we first moved in there were many young families and everyone k knew each other and helped each other. There were a lot of fun gatherings. But as they moved out, new owners put fences up and closed themselves off., it is kind of sad.
jean...I used to love the fashion days but not at all anymore. I need nothing in the way of clothes for more than the next year...lol.i use Rodin and fields skin care and get what little makeup I wear from Ulta.
Need rd to get Sydnie to start gathering school stuff. She wants some new clothes for middle school so we will have to go shopping.
a big salad is on the menus for dinner tonight.it is too hot to cook.
Have a wonderful day (((((hugs))))

Barbara--With the RA, it is a challenge to get many routine tasks done, so I don't think you need to go in search of more. The excitement of shopping will be that of getting Sydnie ready to start school.
meallen--Thanks for the great graphic. Each day that we spend in not buying too many "wants" is a day that we become stronger. Sometimes, we may cave and buy a "want," but the overall pattern shows improvement.
I'm having tuna with a side salad for lunch. One of my goals is to increase the amount of Omega 3 foods in my diet. Afterwards, I'll be having my afternoon encounter with the Kindle novel and Midnight.

Afternoon, Thanx @KonaKat for the start, I have an air fryer and love it, there's a few threads on it here with recipes, etc, reheating is wonderful especially pizza.
@Snicks1 you are amazing girl, all the things you accomplish makes me want to hide lol I'm also not much interested in Fall days, have plenty & really don't want to buy any more unless it really speaks to me
@sydsgma1 sorry your RA is acting up, I have OA not as severe as what you have but I understand how it feels. My neighborhood was the same as you mentioned & now has morphed into the other, I'm glad my kids grew up in the "before" time, they had a safe & fun childhood.
@meallen616 you also have a great day Wonderful Woman!
Did get out to the grocery store, at least one of them, have a few more bargains to hunt down, maybe Friday
Tomorrow the airport crew is going to the Outlet Mall for a scavenger hunt, have no idea what it will be like, but then dinner at the well reviewed German brohaus, have a taste for German food so looking forward to the event. They do give out "goodie bags" & have drawings for some good stuff.
Enjoy the day/evening

Hello all, I had a GI doctor appointment before work this morning. Nothing going on, just the visit to say hi (lol) and schedule the colonoscopy - which will be the day after Labor Day.
Work's been busy which is good. Translates into continued extra principal on the mortgage.
I have Friday off and don't know how much of Fashion Day I will be watching. When I first started shopping here in 2008 I went nuts especially on Fall Fashion Day. Denim & Co was my go to. Now? Not so much $$$

Hello to everyone
I agree about the humidity being difficult to handle.
Last night when I joined DH in bed, he was watching the show 3 Scientists Walk Into A Bar on The Weather Channel. The part that I watched was different methods of cooling your body after being in the heat. The show also mentioned that humidity traps the heat in your body.
Very interesting program.
Today is in the mid 90's and humid.
I agree that rest times are needed for you mentally and physically.
I went to my Doctors appointment today and DH accompanied me. She looked at my wedding ring and said "your ring is awfully big". I explained when you have a frame ring or halo design the middle stone appears larger.
My DH said she was rude and had poor taste and is not professional. He was upset. LOL
Oh well, differences of opinion.
Enjoy your day everyone!

It is too hot to even think today. DH & I took the Subaru for a checkup this morning. They replaced the gas cap, so hopefully the warning light won't come on again.
I bought a nice 2 piece swimsuit at JCP. It was 70% off & I had a $10 off coupon. Total price was $18.00. I will use it often. The top is floral ruffles with a boy short bottom. I am so ready to go to the East Coast beaches in a few more weeks.
Dinner will be as cool as possible. I enjoy reading all of your posts. You are all such an inspiration to me.
I used to love fashion day, but now it doesn't interest me at all. That is probably a good thing, as I have done a little damage lately.
Hugs to all of you.
