SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th)

Good Evening!  Hope the weather is okay in your area, Fressa and they were able to start on the siding.  Also hope your weather was okay, Bernie.

I have to admit that I never had cheese curds, Glenda.  In fact, I had to look them up -- they must be very tasty.  I think the local Culver's sells them, so I may try them someday.  Glad you didn't have to pay that much to have your IRA information printed.

It was warmer than I would like when I took my walk this morning, but not too bad.  Now it is in the upper 80's and humid.   Rain is possible tonight and tomorrow -- hope that happens.

One of the new volunteers at the senior lunch program quit after two times.  Apparently, the job was more than she expected.  I'm sorry since I liked her, but sometimes people feel overwhelmed.  Fortunately, another volunteer stepped up to work on Tuesday in addition to her regular Friday day.  She is very nice.

I like the TSV, but I already have similar leggings from Women With Control and cannot justify buying any more.  Hope any of you who order the TSV or anything else like what you order.

Waves to all of our posters and readers.  Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.

Hugs,

Linda

Your weather sounds lovely.  I would enjoy a day of rain now and then (southern NC).

We get very little rain here in southern Arizona (desert area), Cindy.  We will be lucky to get even a small amount of rain tonight or tomorrow, but hope we will.  Also hope you get some rain in your area.

Re: SHOPAHOLICS ONE DAY AT A TIME (TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th)

Linda L, after quite a few days of 70's-low 80's, it was near 90 today.  Yuck.  I went on my walk later than planned this morning & it was 73° when I started & 76° when I mopeded back home.  I prefer 60's.  Cheese curds & cream puffs are locally made & popular at most events like we just had.  Our Culver's has  cheese curds.  That's too bad about the volunteer quitting so soon.

I was busy calling my rx company  this morning so I could order my eye drops.  They said they needed more info from my optometrist. I called him and he said he faxed the info to them.  I gave him a different #, so I hope to get them in a few days.  My new rx company is very good and I get the eye drops in one day after the Dr sends in my rx.

Fressa, one bottle of my eye drops is $8.00 but 3 bottles is FREE!

We had a TS this afternoon.  Then it was 90° & humid.  70's tomorrow and 50's-60's most of next week.  Great vacation weather for us.

We are going to the Capitol City on Thursday to get an oil change/check up on our Subaru.  We are planning to leave next Monday for a two weeks road trip.  Destination is the Blue Ridge Pkwy which starts from the Shenandoah National Park Dr and ends in the Great Smoky Mtn. Natal Park.  We are hoping it's as nice as the Natchez Trace Pkwy drive which we did in May.   It's 469 miles & lots of places to get off & back on the trail. 50 mph, no trucks, rv's etc.  Just cars, hikers and bikers.

Hugs to all of you.

Hope your road trip is great, Glenda.  Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway are pretty famous for beautiful views in the Fall.  My family took that trip several times when I was growing up, and I went as an adult as well.  Unfortunately, it can get crowded, but hopefully not too bad when you are there.  I remember enjoying Luray Caverns (Skyline Drive area).  Have fun!

Twinny70---One bottle of my eye drops is $29.00!!! It's the only one that works for me. What a profit they must be making.

My hubby's Dad used to run a cheese factory and they talked all the time about cheese curds. The factory was closed by the time we got together but it was still standing. We both love cheese.

Fressa, glad you got your siding done.  When I first started to use eye drops about 20 years ago,  they were $20 a btl, but I could get three for that price.  My optometrist called my rx company yesterday and I got 3 btls FREE after I paid $8 for one btl a couple of weeks ago.  Yes, somebody is getting rich and it's not you or me.

Bird Mama  I don't need lock & lock  but your choice of color is nice. We got a 10 minute ts yesterday afternoon.  It was 88° yesterday, 75° this morning and going to be 60° tonight.  70° tomorrow and then 40's at night and 60's for highs all of next week. I hope we take this weather with us.

Linda L, we are hoping that the  traffic won't be too bad as school is back in session.  I am looking forward to beaches & maybe some Fall colors. It's been 30 years since we have been to VA.

Our Subaru dealer called this afternoon and said that the appt was cancelled for tomorrow morning as they didn't have enough workers.  We will go to the quick oil change area as we need it before our road trip next week.

Hugs to all of you.

Glenda
