Hi Everyone!
We have cold temps, rain melting some ice and a few flurries. I'm hoping this results in a less crowded grocery store. We'll see. I have a prescription to pick up as well so this will be a double line trip.
The cabinet door hinge on the pot drawer broke while I was preparing dinner last night. I reached for the "potato" pot and the hinge popped up and door dipped down to the floor. (at least it was the bottom drawer). We are hoping we have one in the supply of parts. The store is out of business that we usually purchased these from. It will be a good time to clean the drawers when it's under repair. I may have to edit the number of pots and pans...(again) It's not that there's an overload but they're are more SS now with the new range.
We've had turkeys spending the night in our patio area. There must be a dozen of them. The lights don't seem to bother them. They usually nest at the park or water tower in the area but I'm guessing there must be construction. Who would have thought that they preferred a fenced in area.
Have a good afternoon/evening.

Hi @Fressa and all who follow. We had snow overnight that stopped about an hour ago. I shovelled the patio first thing this morning so the birds and squirrels could eat. I just came in from shovelling everything including the trace of new snow on the patio. Since my annual income tax prep is not dependent on forms from everyone and their brother, I had my 1099-R and was able to count the interest on my savings from the monthly statements so I prepared my 2020 income tax via turbotax.
I think this is my 6th year with them. My bank had an offer that saved me $$ if I clicked on the turbotax link on their site and I took advantage. I need to send them an email thanking them for the offer. I e-filed so when the IRS opens up to process on February 12th, my return should be in the first batches, lol.
I'm glad it's out of the way.

This will be quick and to the point.
We got 8" of snow overnight. At 6:30, I told my DH to snowblow the driveway as I had 7:30 labs. I am used to driving in snow, so I had no problems.
I saw my GP & my labs are very good. Then I saw my rheumatologist. He gave me a cortisone shot in my left elbow and sent me to imaging to get my right arm xrayed. I pulled the tendons in it & got a cortisone shot in it. OUCH! OUCH!
As soon as I got in the house, our pharmacist called and said that we could get the Covid 19 vaccination. So out we went. That didn't hurt at all. Both of my arms were already sore.
I was planning to go away tomorrow for my birthday, but it will be a few good drive thru lunches and dinners in town.
Hugs to all of you.
Glenda

Good Afternoon and thanks for getting us started, Fressa. Hope your trip to the store goes okay. Also hope you are able to replace the hinge on the pot drawer. Sounds like something that would happen to me. Interesting about the turkeys.
Hi Bernie. Glad you were able to work on your taxes, and there was no problem. I used Turbo Tax for many years until DH's complicated finances made that impossible. Fortunately, I was able to go back to Turbo Tax last year, and that is my plan for this year. But, I am unable to figure out some of the numbers until I receive more forms. I hope to file by the end of February or early March.
That is great about your lab results, Glenda. Also glad you and your DH were able to get the vaccine. The cortisone shot sounds painful, but I hope it helps.
Happy Birthday in advance.
We have been having chilly and rainy weather here, and this morning we had some snow. As you might expect, snow is not common here, so there was much excitement. Now, we are back to windy, cloudy, and cool weather. But, some roads are closed due to the snow, and there was black ice on the highway earlier. I am bundled up in layers to keep warm.
DD said my SIL seems to be a little better, and they are trying to get him off the high level oxygen therapy. Friday is the new target date for him to come home from the hospital, assuming he is okay.
Other than the snow excitement, it is a very quiet day. I did an exercise DVD and a little cooking. I tried a green smoothie for lunch, and I decided that they are just not for me. I can add some greens to the mix, but not so many.
Waves to all of our posters and readers. Hope everyone has a nice evening and sleeps well.
Hugs,
Linda
