Good morning, shopping friends. Midnight was gracious enough to let me sleep in this morning. I am one exhausted person but I'll soon be getting ready to return to the city for another specialist appointment. The appointment yesterday resulted in another med being added and after a period of time, there is a possibility that I will have to have an ablation done.
I just played with the new shipping policy. It is true that gone is the half price shipping for each additional item. With $3 for an item, I guess it evens out especially if one is not a big returner of things purchased. One of the things I see it doing is for me who may be facing a size change for a top is to order just one to see if that sizing works. If it does, then another can be ordered in the same item. I do see it reducing impulse purchases since the original shipping is no longer refunding with the reduction in shipping. Time will tell. In the meantime, I did not hit the submit button. I will eventually.
I need to get ready to head back to the city. Had I been able to do this yesterday, it would have saved me over 120 miles.
Have a great day. If you shop, shop wisely.

Good morning ladies, hope all is well.
Jean - Thank you for starting us today, hope your appt. goes well today.
I sit here with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes, my furbaby crossed over the Rainbow Bridge this morning. He was 17 years old and lived a very good life with DH and I, I will truly miss this dog. Got to go, trouble seeing thru the tears.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Ladies, not sure what happened to my post...there seems to be a blank box where I posted earlier. I went back to look and saw Susan's post....so sorry about your dog Susan. He had a happy long life with you and your DH. It is so heartbreaking to lose our fur babies.
It is sunny and cold here only 4 degrees this morning...very icy too, school was delayed 2 hours .
Jean I hope your apt. today goes well and the added meds work so you will not need any further procedure done. Safe travels into the city today.
Not much else going on here.....again so sorry Susan... Marijane

Jean, good luck with your appt. today. Yes, it is too bad you had to make the trip two days in a row. I hope with the new QVC s/h charges they start showing the clothing sizes on the screen like they did a long time ago.
Susan, HUGS to you. We don't have pets, but I do know they are just like a family member.
It is sunny but cold today. DH is out for his morning walk. Our local ground hog in Sun Prairie, WI was a naughty boy yesterday. While he was on TV doing the fun festivities yesterday with a large crowd of people watching, he bit the mayor in the ear. I even heard this story on the top of the hour news today.
Today I am going to try to get all of our tax "info" ready so we can go see our tax lady on Thursday. Mom has lab & Dr. visits on Thursday & the tax lady is only a couple of blocks away so we are trying to multi tax that day.
My BF from HS emailed me this morning saying she has been very sick since Super Bowl night. She & her DH ate some sub sandwiches prepared & sold by their church youth group. Many people are sick. She also had a church meeting Saturday morning, so that could be the problem too.
Hugs to all of you.

Susan--I am so sorry for the loss of your fur baby who provided you love and companionship for so many years. He was so fortunate to have you as his momma. I know the hurt will be with you for a long time, but treasure the great memories.
I called and managed to get my hair appointment from tomorrow which was scheduled on the same day as the cardiologist appointment rescheduled today. I will get out of it in time to get to the urologist appointment. I still need my nails done but that will have to wait unless the urology appointment doesn't last long. Hunch tells me that since it is late in the afternoon that it will be later than actually scheduled. My cardiology appointments have never been late.
I'm having some greek yogurt right now and will take a lunch protein bar with me as I won't have time to stop for lunch. I'll be out the door as soon as I finish the greek yogurt.

Good Morning! Sorry you have to make that trip again today Jean, but glad you could change your hair appointment at least. Hope the new medicine works, and you don't need that procedure. I didn't receive the e-mail about the shipping change, but I have been reading about it quite a bit. While I have been known to return items, I haven't been one to order multiple sizes just to see what fits. Not sure that the change will have a big negative effect for me, but who knows.
Very sorry to hear about the loss of your dog Susan. It is always so difficult to lose a family member like him. Hugs to you. I know he had a very good life with you and your DH.
Hi Mairjane -- yikes, that is cold. A former work friend of mine who is currently living in Maine posted a picture of her husband trying to snow blow them out of their driveway. Her DIL gave birth to a little girl yesterday, and my friend is determined to make it to Maryland to see her and her parents as soon as possible. They certainly had a ton of snow.
Hope your friends and the others feel better soon, Twinny. Good luck with gathering your tax information. Due to DH's investments, we cannot file until late March at the earliest, but I am trying to gather information. Not as easy as one might expect. I spent a bunch of time yesterday since one of his on-line banks changed their log-in procedures. Finally, that is settled. Then, I found out that one of DH's credit cards had been canceled due to lack of use. Not a big deal, but I wanted to make sure there were no problems. Since he has pretty bad memory problems, these sorts of things are falling into my lap, and it certainly isn't easy. I saw that about the groundhog in your area. Our weather is very nice -- highs in the 70's again today.
Waves to Kathleen, Arlene, Rosa (so nice about your late husband's family wanting to stay close and wish the best for you), pinky ann, LindaR, Karen, Barbara, LoriM, cert, and all of our posters and readers.
My middle DGS got some very good news yesterday -- his two week Army Reserve duty has been changed from tomorrow until late in June. DD was very concerned about getting him to and from the center (49 miles away) in the possible bad weather. June should be so much better (fingers crossed).
I have by volunteer job at the senior lunch program this morning and a "class" (about Turkey) this afternoon. Hope to take a walk in the middle since going to the gym or Curves is not possible.
Have a good day everyone!
Hugs,
Linda

Jean, Safe travels today. I hope you'll have a good appointment with the doctor as well as your hair.
Susan, So very sorry about your dog. I know it will be awhile getting over this loss.
Hello to LindaL, Twinny, LindaR, and Genny! Hope everyone's day is going well. I have a few more things to get together to have our taxes done. We'll be needing a new person this year, as our usual accountant moved, and we can't seem to reach him. I can't wait to get it over with.......
I've done the laundry this morning, and a few small jobs. I was reading on another blog about using more natural products, as well as vinegar, baking soda, and borax. I've already moved in that direction, especially with having pets. With lots of sensitivities myself to products, maybe taking this further will be the answer to solving some of that issue for me.
It's gotten much colder overnight, but the sun is making everything look beautiful. I'll be needing to go to town within the next few days, but there's nothing pressing for today so far. Having the calendar turn to February has been a big relief for me. It means we're getting close to spring, and not a moment too soon I say... pinky
