Good Morning/Afternoon! It is cloudy here with a chance of much needed rain tonight and for the next few days. It is not expected to be much rain, but better than none.
I had a Zoom OLLI class yesterday morning (Irish history) and then went to the grocery stores and Walmart. There were a few produce bargains which I appreciated.
Glad you like the Bubblebella TSV you ordered Fressa.
I walked Miss Gigi this morning, which was fun. I have two OLLI classes this afternoon (one in person and the other by Zoom). Nothing else of note.
Waves to Fressa, Glenda, Bernie, Susan, Barbara, and all of our posters and readers. Please post if you have a chance, and have a nice evening.
Hugs,
Linda

LindaLatte- So happy that you were able to walk Gigi. She must enjoy those days so much. Dogs usually like a "treat" once in awhile.
I hope your OLLI classes are good. I've always been fascinated with Russian, English and Eqyptian history since high school. (a long, long, time ago. LOL)
Today is sunny and warming up a bit. I think in the high 50's. It's cold by dinner and lasts until noon. The dogs and I would prefer the cold to remain consistent. This back and forth just is a mess with our allergies. I watched the weather channel last night and they are predicting our first winter storm the long Thanksgiving weekend. Today I ordered an extra bag of chow, canned dog food and doggie snacks. I hope it arrivs before then. I ad received an email in September that delivery most likely would be delayed starting in the Fall and until.... This compnay usually ships within 2 days and then it was 4 days and now ?? It still isn't like most places so that's a good thing.
The neighbor's fence company finally arrived the other day and installed their doggie fence. It only took them 3 hours. It looks nice and we didn't have any damage to our solar lights or mailbox post. She said that she hopes it was worth the aggrivation to get the permit since the area to be fenced was so small.
I'm hoping to do a bit more reorganizing in the holiday storage room this afternoon. I think some of the ornament containers may fit the smaller wreaths. Hopefully, that works and saves time when I'm switching the seasons. I still haven't decided on the Christmas decoration for the porch and first floor. The back yard has to be a bit more deer safe since they are bedding down there a few days a week.
Have a good afternoon.

Linda L, Gigi sounds like such a sweetheart. It was supposed to be sunny here today, but it was cloudy with a nice breeze. We got groceries yesterday and butter, red grapes, Kleenex & several other things were less expensive than a few weeks ago. Fresh fruits are getting more scarce. Even though I never liked History when I was in HS, your OLLI classes sound interesting.
Fressa, it's probably a good idea to get a few extra things for the dogs since it will soon be winter. I am glad that you didn't have any damage when your neighbor put in a new fence. Good luck with your decluttering & getting things where you want them. Also glad that your pants are a winner. I am so ready for winter. My boots, coats, sweaters & corduroy pants are replacing the summer clothes in my closet😄😊🤗
I drove my moped for the last time yesterday & hung out a load of laundry for the last time this morning. The moped is in the basement and I need a new clothes line next spring. We have a dry warm basement so the laundry dries overnight in the basement.
Since I have had to go off of the Ibuprofen for a week before my surgery,, my right knee and left shoulder are sore again. The hot tub is my best friend.
We had a nice road trip yesterday, but things were interesting around here. Two days ago a DG store was robbed in a tiny town that we went around yesterday. The gunman was in a stolen car and was being chased. He got to our hometown, threatened a police officer with a gun. Then took his life.
I didn't buy anything, but we had a good lunch out. Hobby Lobby was busy as they had a lot of nice things for a good $, but I don't need any more things. I am hoping to down size a few Christmas things. My dh got a nice pair of pants from Kohl's so I think he is done buying for the time being.
Tomorrow afternoon between 2-5 I am going to get a call from our Clinic with instructions for me to do before my surgery on Monday. I called this morning and told them to call before 5:00 as we are hoping to see my dh's Mom and we have a 5:30 dinner date at Culver's.
Hugs to all of you.

twinny70----Sounds like you're in good shape for the season change. I have laundry lines strung in my laundry room instead of outside. (too much wildlife) Between the window and the dehumidifyer in there I have decent luck with the clothes drying.
What a situation that was with the robbery and chase. The one mini mall near us has been experiencing some criminal activity. It is unusal for our area but thankfully they were able to catch the "bad guys". I find it a bit unnerving.
I will keep you in my prayers that all goes well on Monday and you can resume your medications. It's a delicate balancing act.
Hobby Lobby replaced our BB&B store. It seems to be buy all the time. I'm trying to use all the leftover supplies first before I check out that store. Our son's MIL raves about it.
Wishing you luck.

It's a beautiful sunny 40's day so I am enjoying the sunshine in the house. Other than an outing this afternoon/evening I am having a lazy day.
Tomorrow, I need to go through my winter clothes and donate or get rid of what I don't want or need.
Yesterday, I found a nice Thanksgiving card to put a check in for our dgd as she doesn't think she will get back home before next Spring. We really do miss her, but she is doing great. I don't have any big plans for Thanksgiving except Recovery, Recovery, Recovery.
We are planning to host Christmas lunch here on the Saturday before Christmas. I am hoping to have a White Christmas this year.
Hugs to all of you.

Good morning. Like Linda, the Phoenix area may have rain to morrow. There was some little bursts of rain...there would be a mini downpour for maybe a minute and the it would stop. When it rains here , the desert has a creosote smell. I am going to miss that.
Home sales have really slowed down here. I may have a couple of showings this afternoon.
my back pain can be pretty debilitating at times. No word on surgery yet.
Glenda..best of luck on your port replacement. I was back at work the day after. Yikes. I like Hobby Lobby but do not shop there very much because of their religious beliefs.
Linda, you should get a little dog... I think you would enjoy that
..lol.
I have been invited to a couple of friends for t day, but I think I may just stay here. I have my infusion on Wednesday and often do not feel like socializing the next day or 2.
Fressa, when we had our morning nnsota home. I would hang out sheets, after the snow had pretty much melted.I always loved the smell of sheet's hung outdoors.
Greetings..and if I do not get back before thanksgiving, have a blessed holiday.💕🦃

Sydsgma1, good luck with your next infusion. I have had this port for 13 years and it was fine until I went to get my last infusion. They couldn't access it. When the first one was put in I had no pain, but 3 days later I got 3 blood clots in my neck. Out it came & I had this one put in on the other side. The Dr. had a hard time getting it in as he said I have very narrow shoulder blades & he had to do a lot of "pushing" therefore I had so much pain that I laid on the hide a bed & moaned and begged for pain pills for a week. I have a very good surgeon and I am now enjoying the book that he just wrote.
I was supposed to get a call from our Clinic between 2-5. We stayed home until 5:00 & since I hadn't gotten a phone call we left for our dinner date with a friend. Had a good dinner and a nice visit with my dh's Mom. Got home and still no message.

sydsgma1---Early Happy Thanksgiving to you. I will keep you in my prayers that you have relief sooner than later.
At this stage, I prefer quiet holidays. The last two years I've been enjoying mixing up the traditional holiday meals and giving myself a bit of a break. My goal (always) is to have leftovers so I don't have to "cook" for two days.
When my son was little we had a yard that I could hang out the clothes to air dry. I still say there's nothing like air dryed sheets.
I keep my fingers crossed that your house sells when you're ready. Crossing my fingers for you.

Good Morning/Afternoon. Glad to see you posting, Barbara. Hope you hear something about your surgery soon. Happy Thanksgiving in advance to you and all of our posters and readers.
I have debated getting a small dog, but just don't want to do it at this time of my life. That is why I so enjoy being able to love on Gigi without having to worry about her when I am out and about and/or she needs medical attention.
I didn't know the background of your port, Glenda. I certainly hope this time is much easier and less painful. It really upsets me when I don't hear back about appointments. Hope the clinic calls you soon.
It has been many years since I prepared a big Thanksgiving feast, but I remember the stress and having to do so much cooking, preparing everyone's favorite dishes, and cleaning up. While I miss gathering with family (most of whom have passed away) and friends, I do appreciate a very relaxed holiday.
Your plans for a relaxed holiday sound good, Fressa.
We had some rain last night, and it was very cloudy on my walk. The high for today is predicted to be in the low 70's and more rain is possible. Fingers crossed that happens.
My laundry is going, and I have prepared the materials for my weekly financial review later. I would like to do some cleaning today and perhaps some cooking.
The small group of neighborhood ladies who go out to lunch once a month found that at least five of us have December birthdays. One of the five has decided to host a birthday celebration on the 10th -- we will pitch in for a cake and bring some snacks to eat. What a nice idea.
Hope everyone has a nice Saturday.
Hugs,
Linda

Glenda @twinny70 I prayed for you as soon as I opened my eyes early this morning. I hope that your surgery was uneventful and that the new port serves you well.
